Vintage half moon / demi lune table- 40's Imperial Grand Rapids, Mich- wood
Half Moon Accent Table. Made of dark wood, not sure what type. Has beautiful spiral carved legs. In amazing shape considering it's most likely from the 40's(based on my research of the table- it used to have a green triangle label that has since fallen off. Still has the brass manufacturer plate though) Made by Imperial Grand Rapids, Mich. an area that was famous for its furniture making. Measures about 2' 7" across and high. He fashioned the table after the form of a military drum. The drawer comes from the English“rent” table. A rent table was a round table with seven drawers that belonged to a landlord. Renters deposited their rent in the drawer marked for the day of the week their rent was due. Often times these tables are found with just two drawers. While the rest are dummy drawers. These tables are some of the most elegant tables that were made. Many of these tables have false drawers, but you would never know it. This table is in great condition. Antique Leather Trunk modified into Unique End Table
Let me start by stating that I am a complete beginner when it comes to antiques. Any information I have provided in this listing. Was given to me from the prior owner. The trunk is attached to a heavy metal base and is very secure and stable. The latch is very operational, it opens and closes securely, but there is no key. It is missing one of the side leather handles, and the removable shelve does have a hole in one of the corners but can be repaired. Other then that it is in remarkable condition for its age. It stands about two feet tall and is about 30 inches long. I have used it as a table at the end of my sofa, and it also looks great at the foot of a bed. We are pleased to offer this vintage(1990s) Maitland Smith. Greyhound/Whippet coffee/accent or end table. THIS RARE DESIGN, AND HARD TO FIND, 4 DOG TABLE features 4 large and extremely detailed bronzed, hollow cast, dogs seated regally upon an interesting, brilliant brass base. The dogs are finished in black which provides an excellent contrast with the brilliant base. This design is generally found in its smaller, 3 dog, companion version. The table is in very good condition with some expected"age spots" on the brass base. I have not tried to polish them as I like the aged character they add to this piece. The listing is for one table, but I do have an identical table available if you are looking for a pair. The pictured glass top is not included as you can purchase a new piece of glass this size for about the same amount of money ... moreit would cost to ship one to you. Offered is a beautifully carved end table that belonged to my Mother. The widest part is 23 1/2" x 23" tall. The top is 22 3/4" square with an indented shape on all sides. The carved area is 3 1/2" high at the center and is also around all 4 sides. The top would need refinished. Since there is a residue of something around the edges. There is some edge wear on the bottom shelf& one corner that was repaired with wood filler. see last photo) There are some nicks on the legs& one corner underneath the top that also has wood filler repair. Up for bid is a very nice original authentic"John B. Salterini" clover& leaf arm chair rocker. Similar to the other clover and leaf chairs Salterini designed. But this piece has a continuous rocker that encompasses all four legs. Painted in a white finish and have been as long as I have had it. The rocker does exhibit some minor surface rust, which can easily be removed with a wire brush and then painted to protect against any further rusting. The rocker, is missing a clover leaf to the right hand arm, but the rocker is structurally sound and very comfortable. I may have an extra clover leaf, which I will look for and add to the listing, at no extra charge, although there is no guarantee. Bi-directional chest/end table made i n 1988 by Lane Furniture as part of their"American Collection" inspired by original pieces in the Museum of American Folk Art. This distressed 3-drawer wooden end table is adapted from original Shaker designs. 2 drawers face forward. While the center drawer pulls out from the left side. Measures 18" x 27" x 22.25" tall. The finish was originally distressed; over the years. Wear and tear has added further distressing to the finish, but the table is completely sturdy. We are pleased to offer this gorgeous pair of Mid Century. Hollywood Regency tables. The tables feature faux bamboo, wood bases and brass tray table tops. The oblong bases are ebonized with faux gilded accents at the"bamboo joints" The legs are straight and flare at the bottom. There is a cross support attached on the lower sections. The tables are open at the top and have brass trays that fit inside the openings. The brass trays feature raised edges and sleek handles on each end. These are beautiful tables. They are not marked but are similar in style to Baker tables of this era. The tables are stationery and do not fold. They are lightweight yet extremely sturdy.
