This is a stunning Drexel Plaudit Line mahogany or light walnut table base only(top is not included) This is a rare adjustable lift base. With cable suspension lift mechanism. The base has a metal cable dampened mechanism that allows it to be gently raised and lowered and locked into place. It measures 29" on the diagonal and adjusts from approximately 19" to 30" allowing it to be used as a coffee table, dining table or game table base. The condition is good with scuffs and minimal wear around the edge and scrapes on the lift cylinder. There is a stable stress crack in the base that is vertical and not very noticeable. Listing tonight is a nice vintage Ethan Allen dining pedestal table in great shape(with the exception of a 2 inch burn. Made by a candle) It has a large top at 44 inch diameter with 2 removable leaves at 15 inches each. It will expand to a total of 74 inches long. The pedestal base is a very solid well designed piece that has these great bun feet. Ethan Allen is known as the premier american furniture maker and the only flaw in this one is the aforementioned burn on the top. It was done long ago by a relative who had a few too many. He is no longer with us, but unfortunately the burn is. That being said it is a great table for the every day meal or made larger with the leaves for the family gatherings. I researched a bit to see if I could find another but nothing similar was out there. It may be a faux tortoise finish or Oil Spot Lacquer finish over wood;not metal. The color is a rich caramel.Brown and gold tone combination,which looks similar to a birds eye maple finish. It is nice a glossy with just minor scuffs and scratches to the finish;nothing serious in my opinion. Made by the Louisville Chair Company. Some wear to the brass on the supports and feet as pictured. Nice. Smaller size table, it measures as follows: Top with leaves down- 23 3/4 x 19 3/4. It was purchased at an antique store in Minnesota. Its history is unknown to us. But the construction material appears to be less than 50 years old. Manufactured in the United States, they are extremely well built, with dovetailed drawers of Oak and encased within a Walnut veneer. Nice clean lines with just enough visual interest. Both are in pretty good condition considering their age. There are a few minor veneer losses. Mostly around the rear edge and a few spots around the drawers. There are some occasional scratches and som mild signs of age to the horizontal surfaces, a very particular person may wish to have them refinished, but I would believe more than suitable for most people. Henredon Natchez Mahogany & Brass Campaign Butler Table - Excellent
Up for auction is a Henredon Natchez Mahogany and Brass Campaign Style Butler Table produced in 1994. This piece is in excellent condition and was well cared for. It was stored in a smoke-free home and not in a damp environment of any type. The only issue is that there are two minor water stains on the surface. Barely noticeable.you can see the worse of the two in the photos. These will buff or even sand out should you want to refinish the surface. However. They are so minor that the piece is fine as is and ready for use in your home. All labels are intact on the underside. I will ship international.
