3 Mid Century Vintage Danish Made in Denmark Solid Rosewood Stacking Tables
This auction is for a set of 3 Vintage Solid Rosewood Danish Stacking Tables. The largest one measures approx. 23 3/4" by 14 7/8" and stands approx. 19" high. The middle one is approx. 20 3/8" by 13 1/2" and stands 18" high. The smallest is approx. 17" by 11 1/16" and is approx. 17" high. They have sturdy legs and there are no splits. Cracks, shrunken seams or repairs. The surfaces are very good but do show minor signs of age and wear. I have not applied any oil or other enhancements to them in any way. They are as originally found and for their age I would say they are quite good. The only mark is an impressed stamp, Made in Denmark, see photos. Solid Maple Nightstands / End Tables
Two very nice solid maple nightstands or could be used has end tables if put back to wall. The wood is in great shape for age. The finish needs some touch up or use as is with aged patina and character. These nightstands were made by the forest furniture company which I believe went out of business. The inside drawer is marked Forest solid maple as seen in the pics on one of the nightstands. The drawers are dove tailed on the front and back. Quality you just can not find anymore, even the drawer bottoms are quality. The height on the nightstands are 25 1/2 inches tall, 13 1/2 inches at deepest point, 19 1/2 inches wide. They are Pembrooke design and measure app. 19 1/2" BY 24 1/2" and are app. 22" in height. The size of the tables is with the leaves drop down. They are in very nice condition with only a slight small blemish on the top of one table as seen in the picture but it is hardly recognizable. These tables have been gently used and have some very minor nicks consistent with use but definitely not abused. Willett Solid Cherry Coffee Table and 2 Drop Leaf End Tables Here are some great solid cherry Willett coffee tables and a matching coffee table for your buying consideration. Recently picked the pieces up at an auction. Willett furniture was made in Louisville. KY. Started making furniture in 1934 and went out of business in 1962. The Willett brand is very popular with collectors. I would guess the tables are from the mid-50s to early 60s. The cherry wood just glows! Cleaned them up with Murphy's wood soap and orange oil and then applied Liquid Gold. Certainly some minor dings to the wood and some scratching from years of use. But still look great. The end table leaves has a wood slide pull that holds the leaves in the up position. They are all there. The leg and drawer hardware all match and appear appropriate to the furniture. Only ... morething is see to report is that one of the leaves has a small piece out of it where it hinges at the table. Finish was matched well at some point in the past and the issue just adds to the personality of the furniture. I am not a fan of new things or IKEA disposable furniture! The end tables have metal wheels and end caps on the legs. The coffee tables sets on its' legs. Never had rollers on it. I see no cracks, splits or repairs(other than leaf noted above) to report to you. The coffee table has a nice scalloped trim that comes up on 3 sides of the top of the table. The end tables are 27.5" tall. By 27-5/8" across, by 18.75" wide(36.25" wide with the leaves up) Sorry, other items that can be seen in the pics besides the coffee and end tables described here are not included. This set of tables are solid wood. Perhaps Beech wood. The largest of the set has a table top that measures 19 7/8 wide by 13 5/8 deep inches, and stands 16 1/4 inches tall. The medium sized table measures 15 7/8 wide, by 13 5/8 deep, by 15 3/8 inches tall. The small sized table measures 12 wide, by 9 3/4 deep, by 14 1/2 inches tall. All together the tables weigh approximately 20.75 pounds. The legs are turned, and the table tops are 3/4 of an inch thick. These are a very sturdy set of little tables. Condition- This set of stacked storing table is in very good condition. We are pleased to offer this beautiful. QUALITY pair of vintage, French Provincial/Country, tables or nightstands. The tables are dated 1960. They are solid oak with a darker stained finish. They feature upgraded details such as dove tail drawers, barley twist/rope trim, and nice hardware. The tables are tiered with column style legs. The tops are fitted with cast, black granite or slate. The stone is etched with a striking, French Iron Gate, scrolled design that incorporates several fleur-de-lis in the pattern. The pattern is polished with the background a rough texture. The stone tops are not attached and sit freely on the tables. Each table has a single drawer that provides ample storage. Very nice pair of Mid Century tables. Tables feature solid maple construction and Early American/Colonial style. The pair have scalloped aprons and ledge on upper tier. They have a large"breadbox" style magazine holder with a pull out door as well as a wide drawer with dovetail construction. The hardware is brass and is original. The drawers have a unique. Faux, newspaper or newsprint lining which is also original. The turned wood legs are set at an angle for further interest. The tables do not have any marks or manufacturer's stickers. They are of very nice quality, very sturdy and heavy. They are very similar to Ethan Allen's"Baumritter" pieces of this same era. For sale are two matching LANE End Tables. These are either Oak or Walnut. Unsure. They are very solidly built. Very stable. The LANE stamp underneath the tables for'style' is: 1108 18. The Serial numbers are: 2767160 and 2967020. though a pair of'matching' tables they are of course Lane creations which means no tow items are alike. Very subtle differences in the color of the wood. These are beautiful and like Lane furniture in general must be seen in person to fully appreciate. CONDITION: One of the tables appears to have received more use than it's counterpart. It's corners have some dings(see photos) The veneers on the corners will need some attention. But nothing too drastic. The one corner is worse than the remaining three on that table. Conversely, the other table has no damage to it's corners at all.
