Simply the nephew of the American cabinet maker/ fine furniture maker Charles Wishtart. My uncle Charles accepted me as an apprentice back in the early 1970's when his health was fading. He was a great uncle and we all miss him. My cousin. His son Leonard, carried on the shop's business but now at 90 he is currently selling off the shop's inventory and tools. No need to go into long praises for my uncle's fine furniture as his reputation is well known and his old world craftmanship speaks for itself including the governor's mansion in Pennsylvania which has a Wishtart original as do museums and fine personal collections. This is an offering for a classic Hepplewhite style table by Charles ... moreWishtart. His name is branded into the wood as was his practice. This excellent item has no defects whatsoever. It has been very well cared for since my wife and I received it. As a wedding gift. In the early 1970's. It has been regularly waxed with only my Uncle's original beeswax formula polish. I still have some of it and will make it available to the buyer so that this piece can be properly cared for(Pledge spray and silicone polishes have no place on this caliber of furniture) This vintage piece is his classic solid cherry wood style and measures 28" high by 26"wide X 21.5"deep. It weighs 24 pounds. All solid wood construction. There is a custom crating fee of $85 for shipping. Full insurance is included. This piece requires a rather large crate for shipping because the legs are permanently mortised in place and the crate must surround and completely protect the entire table. This fine piece was created in the mid 1960's at the peak of my Uncle's woodworking career. It will beautify your home for many decades and can be passed on for generations to come. VINTAGE MCM MID CENTURY MODERN LUCITE ACRYLIC Rolling Organizer Shelf File
This is an authentic Mid-Century Modern piece. I got it at an upscale estate in Chicago and everything in the house was from the 50s and 60s. It has many uses but I think it is meant to be a file shelf. You could also use it for make-up. Sheet music or just as a pretty knick knack shelf. The 7 removable shelves all slide out so you can use as many as you want or make space to put taller things in between them. It measures 28 1/2" tall, 10 1/2" wide, and 12" deep. A piece of legal size paper fits fine with room on the sides. It has 4 chrome wheels for easy moving. As you can see in the pictures it is in excellent condition with no cracks in the acrylic. Two Heywood Wakefield End Tables TV Atomic Mid Century Champagne
Two Heywood Wakefield living room end tables are up for auction. Structurally both are in great condition. The tops have been refinished and they do not match each other. They were in the champagne finish originally. One is lighter than the other. The larger table looks wonderful. The smaller table shows some stain drips on the side shown in the last picture on the side of the small table. The larger table(24 wide by 26 long by 25 1/2 high inches) was sold I believe as a TV table but today would serve really well as a table joining a sofa and love seat or chair combination. TWO ANTIQUE VINTAGE VICTORIAN ORNATE WROUGHT IRON GLASSTOP GARDEN END TABLES
Auction includes both of the end tables pictured. Age unknown but older vintage ornate glass top end tables like no other. Wrought iron tables with leaf and flower top covered with a thick glass insert. Tables measure approximately 12" x 12" wide x 23" wide. Has light wear as pictured. Great condition for its age. So ornate and detailed- outstanding. There are a few minor scratches to the glass tops but I do not consider them serious. No chips or cracks in thick. Tempered glass tops. Tables sit level without wobbling and leg rounded bottoms are not plastic or rubber- they are a metal continuation of the table legs. I have made no attempt to clean or paint these tables. I sell vintage and antique items and as such you should expect no item to be perfect. I try to take a lot of pictures and point out issues with my items but ... moreI sometimes miss things.
