Each drawer has the 1892 and 1894 patent date on them.The Library Bureau Sole Makers Company was in business from the early 1880s to about 1925.I guess the library in the 1890s had to be the only gateway to the world and the hands that were in these drawers.Very nice old patina and there are a few issues but not major and easily addressed and fixable with low expense.There is a piece along the right rear back panel which is not really visible from the front.A couple drawers have some cracks and one has a piece of the rear panel gone but every issue is repairable and I have not altered or repaired anything so you are dealing with the original item.No screws or glue added but it could use some skill to keep it original.There was tape used on the exterior over the years and those are the shadows you see in the photographs.The shadow of the ring on the top was put there by the original librarian so I had a place to put my coffee cup.It is a really cool piece and soundly built.Another 100 years is no problem with this guy. This ice box has over 20 hand carved pieces on the two front doors, nice detailed lion head carvings and two large paw feet. All of these carvings were hand made by highly skill woodworkers in the 1890's. The columns on the sides are really nice oak rope carvings that are below each lion head and extends down to the top of each paw foot. Underneath the top ledge are unusual oak trim with heart style carvings on all three sides. The bevelled mirror is in great shape, no chips, scratches or hazeThis ice box is solid oak and has never been painted before. A lot of the ice boxes that you see listed were painted before and when finished, they have a washed out appearance from the paint still present in the grain of the wood. This ice box has a beautiful smooth finish and a rich color to it. You will not be disappointed one bit with this item. I am very particular as to a restoration and made sure that this ice box is perfect. The ice box brass label indicates that this model is a special order item. Vintage Columbus Oak Showcase 5-Shelfs Lighted ,Numbered, Awsome!!
This showcase has 42 adjustments for the glass shelfs. There are 5 shelfs and glass on top. You can tell it's original glass cause it's wavey and the glass shelfs are smoothed over on the edges. It has a lock there is no key. It is open now. The hangers are all different sizes just like the glass for shelfs because of the angle of the piece. The hangers accually tighten down to secure shelfs when installed with a circle nut. This is not your average diplay case a cannot even find a wooden one. Restored this thing would be unreal. I exposed some paint to see the wood. It is very solid for a display case. The measurements are The hieght 5 feet. Width is 2 feet. The depth is 2 feet. Foot hieght is 6 1/2 inches. Vintage Quarter Sawn Oak Wood Liquor Cabinet/ Trifid feet! Antique Furniture
Beautiful Vintage trifid foot liquor cabinet. Made of quartersawm and oak wood. Trifid or Drake foot vintage furniture with the cabriole leg are characteristics of 18th century design. Mostly appears in Queen Ann-style,and Chippendale-style. American cabinet makers from Newport and Rhode Island also used this style in 1900 late Victorian era. Though I am not an expert, this is what I have found in researching this item. Both drawers, Bottom storage compartment, and both side curio doors have a script design key fixture with usable locks except for the top drawer does not lock. The top surface of the cabinet has a candle burn mark in the center(please see pictures for visual details) The lock and surface burn both look to be very fixable. This is a great vintage piece. Vintage Primitive Antique Oak China Cabinet with Original Rolled glass
This is a very nice antique china cabinet. My wife bought it over 30 years ago from an antique shop. It has the original rolled glass in the doors. There are no markings on it that I can see so we don't have any historical information about it. We believe it is a primitive style. Over 100 years old. It appears to have the original hardware. It is in very good condition. There is a small piece missing from the crown molding in the right front corner when facing the cabinet. You can see from the attached pictures. There are 2 stationary shelves behind the glass inlaid doors and 2 stationary shelves behind the lower 2 cabinet doors. We no longer have any room for it so we would like to sell it. It will have to be picked up locally as I would not want to try to ship it. The dimensions are about 73" tall, 38" wide and 18" deep.

And the edges of the cabinet still show some age, while being smooth and properly finished to last. There is one mark in the finish that is shown in the close-up photo of the bottom corner, but this is in the wood, and is sealed so it will not grow or chip away. For sale are what I believe to be Oak(Maybe Hard Maple) drawer fronts from a vintage library card catalog(They are definitely some type of hardwood) These were removed from a built in cabinet at a local middle school library which was being renovated. I am selling my oak hoosier which I purchased 30 years ago. I love to decorate. So I added the floral wallpaper inside, but it can be easily removed! I used it as a china cupboard.
