Antique Solid (Painted) Oak Wash Stand With Swivel Mirror
I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs. Alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: Although the swivel mirror has obviously been a part of the wash stand for a very long time. I don't think it was originally a part of the piece. I'm not sure about that but most wash stands I've seen of this type simply have a towel bar where the mirror is located. The existing towel bar is original but the mirror was simply added to make the stand more functional as a dresser. Except for that and the paint the piece appears to be completely original with all of it's ... morehardwar and it still has it's original porcelain casters. It is solid oak but will need to be stripped to be beautiful again. It is about 30" in length, 15 1/4" in depth and about 29" in height. It is about 63 1/4" in height to the top of the mirror. Hi. This is a beautiful antique cupboard. Solid Oak with raised panel front and sides. This piece has been professionally restored keeping in mind the integrity of the piece. Original tongue and groove back. This piece is large and very heavy. 80 inches in height to the crown, 24 1/2 deep with crown measuring 28 inches deep, 36 inches wide with crown measuring 42 1/2 wide. Lots of storage with the shelves. They measure 22 inches deep.the top shelf is 19 1/2 inches high to top of inside cup board, the second and third measure 16 inches high and the bottom can store items 24 inches high. I would guess circa late 1890's early 1900's. Under the the working lock and key there may have been a heavy lock installed at one time which left holes that have been filled and finished. Vintage Wood (Oak) Library Card Catalog Drawer Front Solid Brass Hardware
One(1) library card catalog drawer front with what appears to be brass handle and rod holder. These were removed from a damaged library card catalog from a school. These are solid wood and appear to be Oak. They measure 5 11/16" wide by 3 3/4" tall by 3/4" thick. The brass opening for the rod is 13/32" wide. These are used. But in very nice condition! They could be left as is or refinished to match missing or damaged drawers. Shipping is $6.50 for the first and $3 for each additional purchased.
