$60.00 Shipping Condition: Used Location: Mooresville, United States This is an old favorite of mine.Small enough to be very versatile.My mother was a librarian and I have her large 60 and 72 drawer units from her library ... morebut this guy is a real treasure.The larger units are from the 60s, this guy with it's dovetailed joints goes back to the 1890s. Each drawer has the 1892 and 1894 patent date on them.The Library Bureau Sole Makers Company was in business from the early 1880s to about 1925.I guess the library in the 1890s had to be the only gateway to the world and the hands that were in these drawers.Very nice old patina and there are a few issues but not major and easily addressed and fixable with low expense.There is a piece along the right rear back panel which is not really visible from the front.A couple drawers have some cracks and one has a piece of the rear panel gone but every issue is repairable and I have not altered or repaired anything so you are dealing with the original item.No screws or glue added but it could use some skill to keep it original.There was tape used on the exterior over the years and those are the shadows you see in the photographs.The shadow of the ring on the top was put there by the original librarian so I had a place to put my coffee cup.It is a really cool piece and soundly built.Another 100 years is no problem with this guy. VINTAGE SHAW WALKER 4 DRAWER WOOD FILING CABINET DOVETAIL FILE CARD ANTIQUE OLD
A Great Antique Shaw Walker 4 drawer wooden filing cabinet. It has the dovetail joints and the"Shaw Walker" name on the top. One drawer has the metal card holder. The other 3 do not. Please see pictures) There are two slight cracks in the bottom of two drawers. It does have wear consistent with it's age. There are knicks. Marks, dings, finish loss, a crack here or there, and the one side does have a black substance(looks to be old glue from some type of label) on it, as seen in the picture. The pulls are wooden with a screw in the center. The pulls appear to be old cut wood thread spools, 2 are from the old Berksire& Beckett Silk Co, one has some type of"Clark" label worn off& the 4th is unmarked. There is one round hole underneath the the pull of both the top& bottom right drawers. I also had a question ... moreabout the stain on the bottom, I am not sure if it is oil or water. They do not make quality stuff like this anymore(due to the cost and paperless movement) and the price of these pieces when you find then goes up almost daily. Golden color color. Solid Maple( I do not believe there is even any veneer on this piece at all) very nice, used condition with a few minor nicks as expected from an old college piece. Gaylord Bros Inc. 60-Drawer Card Catalog Cabinet This beautiful cabinet was recently removed from a middle school that is scheduled for demolition. The cabinet comes apart into four sections for easy moving. Each section has 15 drawers. There is also a base/riser section. Two pull-out table sections, and a top cap. There is a mix of wood and plastic drawer bodies. I would guess that two of the units came with wood drawers and two were added later with plastic drawers. All of the drawer faces are the same, though if you look very closely the guide rod is slightly different in appearance. One guide rod is missing and a couple are loose or slightly bent. The top of the cabinet shows some wear. I also noticed some damage around one of the clips that helps align the sections when they are stacked up, but it is not visible when the units are stacked. ... moreOtherwise it has survived decades of middle school use in very nice condition. Vintage 1940's-50's Wood 3 Drawer Bank File Cabinet
This file cabinet is from the late 1940's or early 1950's and was used in a bank until the mid 1960's when it was taken out of service. My father was an employee of the bank and all employees had the opportunity to purchase out of service equipment. He purchased 2 of these cabinets and painted them beige and used them as night stands. The original color was a dark wine similar to the inside of the drawers as seen in last picture. They were finished with a coat of varnish. My father used 2 coats of beige paint and the original wine finish was still bleeding through the beige. The knobs on the drawers are the original ones. Measurements are: 30" tall. 13" long on the cabinet part(top is 14" long) 14" wide. I have taken pictures from different angles to give a complete picture of the overall condition. Antique 2 Drawer Oak Library Index Card File Cabinet Remington Rand
Up for bid are two. Antique two drawer Remington Rand library filing cabinets. The drawers are original to the cabinets, but the handles were changed out at some point. One drawer does not have a handle. There are some markings on the exterior and the cabinets are showing some age, but overall they are in great shape. The original index card holder hardware has been removed, but the drawers still slide perfectly. These belonged to my grandpa and we believe he got them from the U.S. Military during WW2. There is a tag on both cabinets that states U.S. Government property. These would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection, or be perfect for crafts or office storage. Measurements are 19.75"x17.25"x7.5" 24.2 pounds each. Local pickup can be arranged by contacting me ahead of time.

Great looking antique oak card catalog and file cabinet. May have been in a library or office. Has interesting open frame design. Has 5 drawers. First drawer is for cards. Second is plain drawer, other three are file drawers. Has rollers in frame to make drawers easier to open and close. Card file drawer and file drawers have adjustable dividers. It's in vintage condition and has years of normal wear. Some of the wood is split from shrinkage. I believe all the hardware is original except the bottom drawer handle and some screws. Looks like it may have been refinished at some time. It measures 52" inches tall, 15" inches wide and 25" inches deep. I have included almost 20 pictures below so you can judge it's condition.
