Each drawer has the 1892 and 1894 patent date on them.The Library Bureau Sole Makers Company was in business from the early 1880s to about 1925.I guess the library in the 1890s had to be the only gateway to the world and the hands that were in these drawers.Very nice old patina and there are a few issues but not major and easily addressed and fixable with low expense.There is a piece along the right rear back panel which is not really visible from the front.A couple drawers have some cracks and one has a piece of the rear panel gone but every issue is repairable and I have not altered or repaired anything so you are dealing with the original item.No screws or glue added but it could use some skill to keep it original.There was tape used on the exterior over the years and those are the shadows you see in the photographs.The shadow of the ring on the top was put there by the original librarian so I had a place to put my coffee cup.It is a really cool piece and soundly built.Another 100 years is no problem with this guy. One was loose, I tried fixing it and broke the handle. So you will have to provide new handles. Though I have the old ones, but the screw broke off in one of them. Antique / Vintage Wall Mount Cherry Wooden Map Case
This is a Large Antique/ Vintage Wall Mounted Wooden Map Case. The wood has the warm glow and color that characterizes cherry and we believe the case is predominently made from cherry. But we are not experts on woods and we do not know for certain. There is possible use of secondary woods, and a small repair at each end of the front panel that appears to have been made with small pieces of walnut. The case appears to be quite old but we do not have a specific age attribution as to whether it is antique or just vintage. The only provenance we have is that the person we bought it from purchased it in Minnesota. The map case is a truly beautiful old piece for use simply as part of your decor. Or it could additionally be repurposed for a variety of uses. It be a wonderful display piece for an antique themed restaurant, hotel or lodge lobby, cabin, ... moreor log home. The case is 59" long. Nearly six feet, and the main gallery photo illustrates the large size of the case displayed on one of our fireplace mantels. The overall maximum dimensions including the lid are about 59" x 8 1/4" x 5 1/8" The latter dimension is where the lid extends out; the corresponding dimension of the case is about 4 3/4" Please see the Condition section below for information regarding the hardware and construction. The original instruction label is still in place. It is very darkened and discolored. My assumption is that this is due to many years of contact with the oils in the wood. I was not able to find any maker's mark or other identification. As you can see from a pair of photos. Each map apparently had a rod through it. One end was seated in a hole at one end, and the other was fitted along a channel at the other end to hold it securely in place as detailed in the instructions. The b ack is made from old bead board. The top does have a hole cut into the back to insert a n electric candle lamp to light up your prims. It also has a latch on the inside of the door. The latch on the outside of the doors does not close. The door will stay opened ajar. The bottom is made from pine and measures 18 1/4" deep x almost 31" tall x almost 39 3/4" wide. Solid wood construction and heavy, most likely maple but not sure. All hardware is solid brass and has all the pieces for each drawer. The card catalog measures 61" tall, 33" wide, and 17" deep overall. Each drawer measures 3 7/8" tall, 5 5/8" wide and 16 3/4" deep. It is stacked in interlocking sections and includes: stand, double sliding book shelves, two 2' x 5' sections, one 3' x 5' sections, and a top cap. Each 2' x 5' section has 10 drawers and the 3' x 5' section has 15 drawers for a total of 35 drawers. The brass pulls have patina to them and all the hardware is intact. I confess. I don't know a whole lot about this piece. I found it an an old flea market in the middle of the Missouri Ozarks. I have researched and researched it have only discovered the following info. The design is called Gold Leaf Lacquer. It has beautiful motifs of white roses and birds. I believe it is what was called a"Shoe Cabinet" or a"Foyer Cabinet" and was naturally intended for storing shoes in. I can't find any artist or designer marks. I don't know if it is Chinese or Japanese but I am fairly certain it is one or the other. It hast has that wonderful Asian flair about it! It stands at approximately 30" tall. It is approximately 23-1/4" wide. It is approximately 11-1/4" deep. It looks to be modeled after some Asian Dynasty but I have no idea for sure or if it is a reproduction or an ... moreoriginal. This piece is in good useable condition with normal wear. There are brass towel racks on each side which are hard to see in the picture. Dimensions are 33 1/2 inches wide. 15 1/2 inches deep, 39 inches high at the highest point on the back. Nurse First Aid Antique Figural Medicine Cabinet Cupboard Vintage WWII Era
This medicine cabinet is in very good condition for it's age. It has a few small nicks and chips. 2 holes in the back for mounting(as well as a copper wire) and is fully functional with a tight gripping latch. It measures 33-1/2" tall x 13-5/8" wide x 4-3/4" deep. Knob is 1-1/4" diameter and sticks out another 1-3/16" from front. Bottom to top of cabinet is 22" and the Nurse's head makes up the remaining 11-1/2" in height. Width of interior is 12-5/8" and each shelf is 9" tall. Weighs 13 lbs 10.5 oz. I have not attempted any repairs, and those dark spots on the back are from where I had just wiped away the dust with a damp cloth. Very nice old wood hutch with glass windows and metal hinges. This came from an estate in Lebanon Co. PA. I am unsure of the age or the actual wood that was used. Looks almost like a stain that was used to show grains in the wood. Some hinges appear to be original, some replaced. The drawers are dovetailed. This is a 2 piece hutch, the top half comes off for easier transport. 3 shelves in the top and 2 in the bottom Looks great when filled with old collectibles. Antique handmade five drawer spice box or chest. This primitive wood box has dove tail joints and looks like it is mostly glued. Except for a few old nails here and there. The knobs are old porcelain and a couple are not attached. The chest is missing one knob. I'm not sure if the pulls are original to the chest, they may be replacements. You are bidding on an antique Wood Pie Safe. I believe it is Oak. It's in very good condition for it's age and is a solid piece. Has brass handles. Hinges and lock(lock does not work) Measures 19.5"L x 17.5" D x 13"H. Looks like it has some light paint splashes/flecks on it from someone painting near it, but it looks like they will come off. The last coat of paint is black- it looks like a taupe like or off-white color underneath where it's scratched. The hardware is really neat and works. Vintage Antique Floral Etched Mirrored Medicine Cabinet w/ 2 Orig Glass Shelves
This is a nice original antique metal medicine cabinet with floral etched frameless mirrored door. Inside are two of the original thick glass shelves in good condition. Both with a slightly thicker ridge along the edge to help keep things from rolling or falling off the shelf. The door latch still holds the door shut. The door opens smoothly, the shelves slide in and out and can be re-positioned, and the mirror looks very good, has a slight bevel all the way around, and there is no cloudiness, only a little minor flaking of silver backing along the edges. There is one small chip missing from the glass on the lower left corner. The old white paint on the inside and sides of the cabinet is slightly darkened from age and has some chips and scuffs. There are two small metal brackets; one on the inside of the cabinet and one on the inside surface ... moreof the door that look like they might have once held a part that would stop the door from opening all the way, but that part is no longer attached. This cabinet would need to be installed in a wall. The back part that would fit into the wall measures 13" L x 4 1/4" W x 16 5/8" H. The mirror measurements are 16" W x 21 3/4" H. It will be packed very well and insured during shipping.

Antique Vintage Small Wood Glass China Cabinet Display Case (NO SHIPPING!)
This auction is for a China Cabinet that was given to us by my cousin. She said it was old but she didn't know much about it. I couldn't find any markings or any way to identify it but it definitely looks old. It has two removable shelves held up by dowels. All sides are made of wood. The bad parts: Two spots on the glass have tiny chips. Water marks on the top, cracks on the back wood and the bottom shelf and the bottom part of on of the sides is missing something. You can see all that in the pictures. It measures 49.5 inches Tall. 33inches wide and 16.5 inches deep. It doesn't weight a lot but it is bulky and very fragile so. NO SHIPPING, this is pickup only. Vintage Quarter Sawn Oak Wood Liquor Cabinet/ Trifid feet! Antique Furniture
Beautiful Vintage trifid foot liquor cabinet. Made of quartersawm and oak wood. Trifid or Drake foot vintage furniture with the cabriole leg are characteristics of 18th century design. Mostly appears in Queen Ann-style,and Chippendale-style. American cabinet makers from Newport and Rhode Island also used this style in 1900 late Victorian era. Though I am not an expert, this is what I have found in researching this item. Both drawers, Bottom storage compartment, and both side curio doors have a script design key fixture with usable locks except for the top drawer does not lock. The top surface of the cabinet has a candle burn mark in the center(please see pictures for visual details) The lock and surface burn both look to be very fixable. This is a great vintage piece. This is a reproduction piece. As the original cabinets had an open space in the middle and was without drawers. It seems that many of these reproduction cabinets were made early to mid 1900's. I am not sure of this cabinet's date. The wood has a dark brown stain. But I do not know exactly what type of wood it is.
