Here is some general information on a hoosier cabinet below. Ever since the early 1900s the Hoosier cabinet has been one the most favored piece of kitchen furniture ever to exist. You might argue that the kitchen table is the dearest. And if it is, the Hoosier is a very close second. The official Hoosiers were made by the Hoosier Manufacturing Co. of New Castle. Indiana, but models were also crafted by other Indiana companies. Today the term"Hoosier Cabinet" is generically applied to any cabinet that fit's the following description. Has a base with doors and drawers on the bottom for storage, Has a porcelain work surface. Many times this will slide out, Has a top that often has a roll. Or tambour door. Top can include a sifter. A flour bin and other accessories, Usually the cabinet will be set on a set of small casters. There are many variations and styles Hoosiers and Hoosier type cabinets. From Country to Art Deco. Each drawer has the 1892 and 1894 patent date on them.The Library Bureau Sole Makers Company was in business from the early 1880s to about 1925.I guess the library in the 1890s had to be the only gateway to the world and the hands that were in these drawers.Very nice old patina and there are a few issues but not major and easily addressed and fixable with low expense.There is a piece along the right rear back panel which is not really visible from the front.A couple drawers have some cracks and one has a piece of the rear panel gone but every issue is repairable and I have not altered or repaired anything so you are dealing with the original item.No screws or glue added but it could use some skill to keep it original.There was tape used on the exterior over the years and those are the shadows you see in the photographs.The shadow of the ring on the top was put there by the original librarian so I had a place to put my coffee cup.It is a really cool piece and soundly built.Another 100 years is no problem with this guy. Antique ART DECO Oak Leaded Stained Glass Curio Cabinet w/ Ivory Key Inserts
You are bidding on an ART DECO Curio. Display case that has many specialized and individual intended uses. The case came from a smoke free home and has been the safe keeping of an extensive toy soldier collection for many years. The safe keeping is strongly due to a dual locking case. The piece is in excellent condition, with the occasional scratch and scrape from a misguided chair or sweeper. The Ivory pieces surrounding the key holes are yellowing and that comes from age. The piece measures 49"H x 30"W 11.5" D. The glass shelves are individually wrapped for protection and that is the reason for not showing the glass. There are 5 shelves and two of the five have two pieces of glass as the shelf. The only flaw that I found with the piece is a missing metal foot on the rear left. Key warks great, no broken, loose or missing ... moreglass panes and all hinges are solid, The piece has 3 hinges per door, which shows good craftsmanship. Disclosure: At one time my wife cover the inside of the cabinet with pink paper. But the back panel was turned around to see the wood. Just letting you know. This is a Regional Auction. Late 1800's Oak and Marble Top Butlers Cabinet of European Origin- Rare. Rare, Rare! This amazing piece of furniture is absolutely stunning. All original, hand crafted, hand cut dove tail construction throughout the solid dark oak wood. Many unique hand carved designs throughout that gives the piece a lot of character. Original door pulls and marble top. I believe everything is original with no refinishing or restoration. Marble tip is in perfect condition with chips or cracks anywhere. As you can see in the pictures, it has many storage areas with multiple doors and drawers. This piece is massive and very heavy. It measures 8 feet 4" tall, 70 1/2" wide and 27" deep. It does come apart for transportation into 4 pieces: the base, the marble top, the center gallary, and the entire top piece. If height is a problem, you could ... moreleave the center gallery piece off and place the entire top piece directly on top of the marble- that would save a little over a foot in height. There are very few pieces like this still around. They were not mass produced; in fact pieces like this were commissioned by the wealthy to be built for their large homes. I get most of my items at estate auctions and sell them in an"as found" condition. I do no repairs. Alterations and very little cleaning. This is done in the belief that most buyers prefer to receive them as original as possible. Because the items I sell can come from anywhere. I can't guarantee they all come from smoke free environments. DESCRIPTION: Although the swivel mirror has obviously been a part of the wash stand for a very long time. I don't think it was originally a part of the piece. I'm not sure about that but most wash stands I've seen of this type simply have a towel bar where the mirror is located. The existing towel bar is original but the mirror was simply added to make the stand more functional as a dresser. Except for that and the paint the piece appears to be completely original with all of it's ... morehardwar and it still has it's original porcelain casters. ANTIQUE HANDCRAFTED OAK DRY SINK BAR CABINET CUPBOARD WITH MARBLE TOP
This dry sink has been in the family for at least three generations. It's solid wood- oak I believe- with a red-brown marble top. It has seen some use and has a few scratched spots(see photos) but is a really nice serviceable piece of furniture; sort of a small gem. I've tried to capture it's character in the attached photos. Features: White oak(I'm pretty sure) construction« Maple( inlays on the drawer fronts« All original hardware. Including the porcelain casters« Dovetail joints on the drawers« Original red-brown marble top. I've been in the marble business for 30 years and don't recognize the stone; I'm guessing it's from an old eastern quarry. 30" wide x 16" deep x 38-1/2" tall to top of backsplash I can find no identification from the manufacturer but the piece is obviously ... morehandmade. While the front and sides are nicely finished. The bottoms of the drawers and the back panels are rough sawn. There are markings on the bottom of the large drawer which say"J.M.T. Macon City Mo, perhaps indicating a customer name as though the piece was being shipped to them. These are similar to the markings on furniture in the steamboat Arabia museum here in Kansas City, all of which dates from the 1850's. While I do sell a variety of items on eBay. I’m not an antiques or collectibles dealer. This is an item from my mom’s estate that we’ve decided to part with. I do know that it’s old, but as I’m not certain of its provenance, I will gladly take it back if you receive it and decide that it’s not what you expected. For shipping purposes. This little oak cabinet is absolutely beautiful! It measures 20" high at the back by 13" wide. There is a be veled mirror and a door that looks like it would lock with a skeleton key. There is a crack in the wood in the upper right hand corner and a small nick out of the lower back corner but still ver y solid and to me. Adds to the beauty and age of this piece. Antique Oak & Glass General Store Showcase, 1885-1905 era, excellent shape!
Hi. This is a classic American General Store Display Cabinet produced circa 1900. Originally from a general store in SW Michigan. I can find no manufacturer's tag or mark on the piece. But it resembles and I believe it to be the Work of the Quincy( Illinois) Showcase Works, who made some of the finest general store showcases in the world. Construction is of Oak and Glass. Six Feet Wide at the base, 24" deep and approx. 17" tall. Interior dimensions are approx. 68 1/2" x 22" by 15" There is a HUGE amount of room inside this case for displaying beautiful objects. Two sliding doors in back with two brass finger-hole pulls on each far side and a lock and key on the right. The glass side panel on the right side has a crack that starts in the back and grounds in the base, perhaps about 6" wide at its worst or less ... moreand approx. 2-3" high. For sale is an all original antique Niagra ice box/refrigerator. It doesn't have a manufacture date but is estimated to have been built in the 1920's. It remains in very good condition. Very solid and sturdy. Its still covered in dust and would clean up spectacularly with a little elbow grease. It has small dings and marks that are to be expected but it does not have any major flaws or damage anywhere. It is however missing one caster wheel. Gorgeous antique curio! Original curved glass(you can't get this anymore) Purchased from a 91 year old woman who said it used to be HER MOTHER'S in Illinois or Iowa Probably made in USA. But no maker's markings Wood caster wheels Beautifully carved wood mirror top The mirror top wood is just slightly lighter than the body of the cabinet The shelves have 2 grooves each for displaying your china. Plates, collectibles, etc Would be a great piece to use as a china hutch. Curio or display case Adjustable height wood shelves(Original shelves. But not original little metal shelf hanger hardware pieces) It was difficult to photograph the exact color. While not getting too much glare off the glass, so for the closest color match see photo#2 for a closeup with no flash, showing the truest color we could get. It's a nice medium to dark ... moreoak finish, we would say. You decide for yourself. Some of the photos came out a bit red because of the lighting, but it's not cherry at all. It's a warm brown. But we are moving and cannot take it with us. It is hard to see it go because it is a really beautiful piece. My Mom took very good care of it and I can remember dusting and polishing it through my life. There is the littlest bit of wax residue in some of the carving. But it has been kept beautiful with Old English and Windex, and Liquid Gold Brand Polish. The worst of the surface wear on the wood is over the legs which are not bad for the age. There is damage to the two claw feet in the front. One piece that we had has been glued on but the other side has a piece missing. We believe it is from the turn of the century 1905 to 1920 but cannot be more specific. My Mom told me that my ... moreUncle gave it to my Dad and Mom in the 1940s. But Mom is no longer with us to get more information and I only remember this piece from about 1962. A very elegant design. It stands 60 5/8 inches the top of the cabinet. The removable decorative back piece adds about another 7 inches making the overall height 67 3/4 inches. It is 41 1/4 inches wide and 15 1/2 deep. The inside dimensions are 36 1/2 inches wide by 44 1/2 tall by 12 1/4 inches deep. There are three glass shelves. One shelf is slightly thicker and I can remember my Mother having a shelf made when we moved in 1964 as one broke. Very nicely carved at the top with a laurel wreath and ribbon design. There is beading around the top front edge. There's carving at the bottom and there are occasional chips here and there. The joints are all tight. AND THE BEST OF ALL. Beautiful Vintage trifid foot liquor cabinet. Made of quartersawm and oak wood. Trifid or Drake foot vintage furniture with the cabriole leg are characteristics of 18th century design. Mostly appears in Queen Ann-style,and Chippendale-style. American cabinet makers from Newport and Rhode Island also used this style in 1900 late Victorian era. Though I am not an expert, this is what I have found in researching this item. Both drawers, Bottom storage compartment, and both side curio doors have a script design key fixture with usable locks except for the top drawer does not lock. The top surface of the cabinet has a candle burn mark in the center(please see pictures for visual details) The lock and surface burn both look to be very fixable. This is a great vintage piece. Vintage Primitive Antique Oak China Cabinet with Original Rolled glass
This is a very nice antique china cabinet. My wife bought it over 30 years ago from an antique shop. It has the original rolled glass in the doors. There are no markings on it that I can see so we don't have any historical information about it. We believe it is a primitive style. Over 100 years old. It appears to have the original hardware. It is in very good condition. There is a small piece missing from the crown molding in the right front corner when facing the cabinet. You can see from the attached pictures. There are 2 stationary shelves behind the glass inlaid doors and 2 stationary shelves behind the lower 2 cabinet doors. We no longer have any room for it so we would like to sell it. It will have to be picked up locally as I would not want to try to ship it. The dimensions are about 73" tall, 38" wide and 18" deep.

Hi. This is a beautiful antique cupboard. Solid Oak with raised panel front and sides. This piece has been professionally restored keeping in mind the integrity of the piece. Original tongue and groove back. This piece is large and very heavy. 80 inches in height to the crown, 24 1/2 deep with crown measuring 28 inches deep, 36 inches wide with crown measuring 42 1/2 wide. Lots of storage with the shelves. They measure 22 inches deep.the top shelf is 19 1/2 inches high to top of inside cup board, the second and third measure 16 inches high and the bottom can store items 24 inches high. I would guess circa late 1890's early 1900's. Under the the working lock and key there may have been a heavy lock installed at one time which left holes that have been filled and finished. The drawers are very shallow, so would be perfect to hold maps, architectual drawing, art work, etc. Also has 2 larger drawers toward the bottom. Antique 2 Drawer Oak Library Index Card File Cabinet Remington Rand
Up for bid are two. Antique two drawer Remington Rand library filing cabinets. The drawers are original to the cabinets, but the handles were changed out at some point. One drawer does not have a handle. There are some markings on the exterior and the cabinets are showing some age, but overall they are in great shape. The original index card holder hardware has been removed, but the drawers still slide perfectly. These belonged to my grandpa and we believe he got them from the U.S. Military during WW2. There is a tag on both cabinets that states U.S. Government property. These would be an excellent addition to anyone's collection, or be perfect for crafts or office storage. Measurements are 19.75"x17.25"x7.5" 24.2 pounds each. Local pickup can be arranged by contacting me ahead of time.
