You are bidding on a really cute set of salt and pepper shakers. They are antique. Measure approx 3" high. A boy and a girl. Victorian style clothing. When I looked at the boy he reminded me of Anthony from Stanley Kubrick's film called Clock Work Orange. The wink and all. Of course this film was not out at the time maybe Stanley's grandparents had these while he was growing up. The shakers are in good shape and both stoppers are on the bottom.

This is a pair of 19th century hand painted pottery figural salt and pepper shakers. They are Kate Greenaway style Victorian children with blue eyes and blonde hair- the little girl has her hands in a muff and is wearing a green and pink bonnet and the little boy has his hands in the pockets of his long coat and has a black hat with gold trim. They are unmarked and are in good condition without any chips or cracks and very little paint wear- they both have pin hole sized glaze pops that occurred during manufacture and are mentioned only for accuracy's sake. Offered for sale to the highest bidder: Set of Vintage Japanese Oriental Geisha Girl Salt or Pepper Shakers. Two of the shakers are in fair condition. One having paint damage to the top and wear to the design on the side. There is some wear and a little chipping roughness on the bottom of the one other shaker. The tallest shaker is approx. 2 3/4 inches high. The other two are approx. 2 1/2inches high. One is marked Japan. No markings on the other two. We ship within one business day of receiving cleared payment if at all possible. We pack our items as we would like to have items packed to be shipped to us. Vintage Handpainted Japanese Geisha Girl Salt and Pepper Shakers and Bowl This is a Geisha Girl Handpainted Salt and Pepper Shakers and a bowl. The dark red/orange edging around the bowl and bottom of the salt and pepper shakers and both shakers have the same color on the top. There is bold swirl decoration around top of shakers and between trim on the bottom. Both the bowl and shakers have embossed painting design of geisha girls. There are no makers mark on either item. As with any vintage item. There are some minor wear. My photos display the overall condition of these vintage items. There are no cracks or chips. Salt and Pepper shakers are missing their corks, and the bowl has paint loss. Lot Vintage Glass Salt Pepper Shakers, Asian Boy & Girl, German Shield, Lanterns
Description Up for purchase are: 3 sets of vintage salt and pepper shakers from an estate sale. The green Asian set has no chips. It has the original cork stoppers but one keeps slipping inside the shaker and other stays in place, both are in excellent vintage condition. The set that appears to be a German Shield(this is what I was told when I made the purchase) have their original cork stoppers in place. No chips, excellent vintage condition. The lantern set has paint wear on the lantern holders and the stand. Screw tops work great. Secure. When I bought these sets. I was told these are vintage but I do not know the age. This is a nice pair of vintage Japanese Salt& Pepper shakers. The painted scene features Geisha Girls in a lovely garden setting with a pagoda style building in the background. There are no chips. Cracks or repairs. There is a scalloped edging of cobalt color blue around the bottom and a wide band of the same blue at the top. Golden line accents makes the blue color really pop! These are Hand painted made in Japan. There is Blue Japan Sticker on the bottom of the one. They have wood cork stoppers on bottom. They are very colorful and have the sweetest look to them.
