Stunning Antique Set Perfume Bottles mirrored travel case rare
This listing is for an incredible. Very old and very rare set of 2(one stopper is not original) perfume bottles, in a beveled glass display case with a mirror behind them. It has a carry handle and the latch opens the glass which swings down to give access to the perfume bottles. The latch, carry handle and trim around the glass is silver colored, possibly nickle. The case is in very good condition. The purple velvet covering is worn and the cloth the bottles sit on is faded. The bottles match and there are a few small chiggers around the top edge where the stopper goes in. I do not see any imperfections in the bottles. The case is 5 1/2 inch high. Base is 3 1/2 inch deep, width is 4 3/4 inch, the top tapers to 1 3/4 inch. This will make a very appealing addition to any perfume collection. I have not seen any others like it. The small bottle is marked with acid etched"Czechoslovakia" on the bottom as shown in the last photo. They are hand cut in vertical and horizontal miters. Swags, diamond relief, stars, fluted necks and polished bases. Both have the original lapidary cut stoppers. The tall bottle measures 6 3/4" high including the stopper and 2 3/4" diameter across the base. The smaller bottle measures 4 3/4" high including the stopper and 2" diameter across the base. So rare to come across a pair of matching perfume bottles. This elegant pair are probably the most sought-after colour, Cranberry graduating down to a clearer glass at the base. The screw-top lids are made from English sterling silver, hallmarked for Birmingham 1896, making these true Victorian examples. The makers mark is also present CM for the silversmith, Charles Mappin. hi. this is a rare antique Victorian miniature perfume etui vitrine. heavy beveled lass on top and the front and wonderful blue and gold velvet on the box with brass rings on each side and a brass doorknob to open the door. Each individual bottle is a different color(amber, blue, green and pink) and has a stopper with a glass dauber; three of the four daubers are broken. The fourth goes all the way to the bottom of the bottle but the stopper is stuck and I haven't soaked it to try to dislodge it. The bottles are shaped in a manner that allows them to fit snugly in their"nest" that is, one side is rounded and the other two sides are flat(see photos) Each bottle measures 3 3/4" in length, and when in their holder, the ensemble is just over 4" tall. A beautiful set of three woman's cologne perfume types of the pre 1900's I have seen many Florida water bottles and sizes but this is the first PORTLAND! All three of these were dug in Northern N.H. None of these bottles are Chipped. Cracked, or Flea bitten. I will describe starting from left to right of Main Picture. First is a Rare Portland Florida Water in Excellent Condition No chips. No flea bites, No cracks, No scratches, No clouding, Only issue is a water stain inside. Nice Stretch Marks Throughout the neck The midsection has a Nice Casting Stretch Mark where there was some extra glass and an air bubble next to it. Embossing reads Baker's Florida Water Portland. 7 1/2" x 1 3/4" Second is a more common Murray Florida Water small size in Good condition with a long stretched bubble at the top. No cracks chips or ... morescratches. The only issue is the permanent cloud stain that gives it the even frosted Patina. The photos do not do these bottle justice! RARE 19thc. Daum cut glass cologne scent bottles. They looked like rock crystal. But I believe they are glass. Beautifully cut with patterns at the neck, top mid section with roses and ribbons, and at the base. Gold gilt is painted into the engraving. Both bottoms are in gilt(style of mark dates to 19thc, Daum- the Cross of Lorraine- Nancy. One is slightly taller and thick glass than the other. They measure roughly 10 1/2” including the stopper. Faceted on the neck and body. Photographing these was difficult. They were filled with sugar in order to photograph them without the pattern on the reverse showing through. Condition- Intact. No repairs. Wear to the gilt in the carvings. 1 bottle has a chip on the lip. Both stoppers have cracks in the bases of the stopper. No chips or cracks to the bases. ... moreOverall glass clarity is vg- excellent. there are a few spot in body and at the bottom that I couldn’t clean. My bottle brushes are long enough or thin enough to get in there; in other words. I do not know if the glass is stick in spots. I had a memory than these had an internal crack in the body of 1 of them. I can not find it! You will be purchasing this with the knowledge that there might be a 1/2” internal crack. Magnificent pair of Spode/Copeland perfume bottles. The gold work is outstanding. The sterling tops are dated London 1888, however, these could have been attached at a later date than the bottles. They stand a little better than 3.1/2" The silver tops look dented. It is just that the silver needs cleaning. This is a very nice pair of antique.Perfume/scent bottles,believed to be made from Dutch Rock Glass. The tops to both bottles appear to be made of silver but there are no markings to indicate this. There is a slight dent in the top of 1 cap. The caps are very ornate and are engraved with"WC" in script. The glass has several bevels. They are 7 inches tall and 5.25 inches in circumference. Up for auction is a very rare fox antique hand blown glass perfume bottle. In my research I have not been able to find another one like it. Please see pictures closely. It is missing the cork but for it's age is has survived quite well. It is a small bottle. Approx. 4" in length. I do not know the exact age. I believe the 1920's or 30's. I think it is European. I am not an expert. Also a dog top hat perfume bottle. American U.S. I do not know what company this came from. I am not sure what the gold color paint is on the fox. 2 RARE Antique English Figural Porcelain Perfume Scent Bottles GOLD ANCHOR Mark
This Auction is for a Very Rare Pair of Antique early 1800's Miniature or Small Porcelain Figural Perfume Bottles. The bottles. Which both measure approximately 3 3/8 inches tall. Are in good condition with no cracks or crazing; however, the lady bottle has suffered considerable loss to the leaf& flower decoration applied to the base of the bottle and a(from the time of manufacture) crack in the filigree on the top of the basket- the man bottle is very good condition with only 3 leaf tips missing(difficult to see) and one small glaze/paint chip to the front top of his hat. The bottles feature a rare addition of reticulated work to the top of the carry baskets held by both the lady and man figures. The hand painted decoration is really quite detailed and in very good condition. The porcelain stoppers have a brass collar which fits ... moreinto a brass sleeve in the tops of the bottles. The bottles both have gold anchor marks and the number"5" on their domed bases. Although definitely made by the same maker. But due to the slight differences in the size and pattern of reticulation in the baskets. I am not sure that these bottles are a matching set or rather simply two similar style perfumes, but in any case, they look good together. An example of a very similar singular figural scent bottle with the same domed and molded base. Same floral decoration. Same size and with the same gold crown mark(I am sure by the same maker) is pictured in the Perfume Collectors book titled"Antique Trader Perfume Bottles Price Guide" copyright 2008.
