This is a Vintage Clyde E. Key Wooden Lure c.1950. These particular lures were called Glutton Dibblers and this is the White style and made out of cedar wood. I inherited a lure collection when my father in-law passed away and this was part of it. Clyde Key was from Arkadelphia AR. And this is where my father in-law lived. I know he obtained this lure when it was New years ago and it was Never used! It comes with original box and instruction sheet! There are a couple of the seams at one end of the box that are seperating some due to age and storage. The body of the lure looks Great still with high shine. These chests were presented for many years by local furniture stores to girls graduating from the local high school. It is 3 1/4" high. 8 7/8" long and 4 7/8" wide. It has very nice color with the natural grain showing and cedar odor when opened. The outside has a smooth finished surface, round keyhole and rounded top edges. Inside has the natural raw cedar wood. The outside bottom is unfinished. A key is included to lock the chest. A very small nick is in the rear's upper right corner. This auction is for a Native American hand made drone flute. This flute has been made from eastern Red Cedar. It is a 5 hole flute and very easy to learn how to play. It is great for both beginners and experienced flute players alike. As with most of our tradionlal flutes this one has a natural finish. This is a vintage Lane cedar chest that has a light walnut finish. I am selling it in"as found condtion" There are 2 dings in the top and some minor scaring. Both can be easily repaired. The chest has the original warrenty tag and key envelope tacked to the inside of the lid. The key is also with the envelope. The interior is super clean. The chest measures 44" wide. 17" deep, and 18 1/2" tall. There are bracket feet at the bottom and decorative chippendale pulls on the front along with a line of small round knobs. The outside has a smooth finished surface, round keyhole and rounded top edges. Inside has the natural raw cedar wood. The outside bottom is unfinished. A key is included. The outside of the chest has scratches on the top and back. The inside has very minor stains. The lock will work but the latch will not allow the lock to fasten the lid down. Adjustment to the latch will be necessary to make the chest lock. The lid requires slight pressure to completely close. It was purchased at the estate sale of the owner of the Ramsey-Hess Furniture Store in Martinsburg. WV. and was in the lot of miniature Lane Cedar Chests that I purchased there. The overall finish has some surface marks and signs of use and wear. Hinges are solid and well attached. The lock still works, but it does not have a key. THE TRUNKS EXTERIOR DOES APPEAR TO BE IN GREAT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. IT DISPLAYS ORIGINAL PATINA AND CHARACTER THAT THESE UNITS ACQUIRE OVER A LIFETIME OF USAGE OR DISPLAY. THE LEATHER ON THIS TRUNK IS ALL BRAND NEW AND A VERY RECENT REPLACEMENT AS THE USUAL LEATHER AND STRAPS DRY AND DETERIORATE AND DETRACT FROM TRUNK APPEARANCE. THE INTERIOR WAS REPLACED AND LINED WITH HAND CUT CEDAR WOOD. THE HARDWARE IS ALL BRASS SCREWS TO SECURE DOWN. IT HAS A BEAUTIFUL LOOK INSIDE AND THE NATURAL CEDAR SMELL IS WONDERFUL. THE VERY TOP THIN TRIM STRIP OF THE INSIDE TRUNK BASE IS MADE OUT OF MAHOGANY OR OTHER HARD WOOD. THE YALE AND TOWNE LOCK DOES WORK AND IS FUNCTIONAL.THE BRASS LOCK HAS GREAT WEIGHT AND FEEL AND LOOK. THE TRUNK LOCKS UP VERY SECURE LIKE FORT KNOX. I HAVE A FULLY FUNCTIONING KEY THAT IS NOT THE ORIGINAL KEY BUT WAS MADE BY A LOCKSMITH TO WORK. THE KEY DOES WORK BUT YOU DO HAVE TO WIGGLE AND SLIDE IN AND OUT A BIT TO UNLOCK. I DONT KEEP THE TRUNK FULLY LOCKED IN THE HOUSE FOR EASY ACCESS TO OPEN IF I NEED STUFF OUT. BUT IF I WAS GOING AWAY AND THREW A FEW VALUABLES
