Victorian Cast Iron Ornate Plant Stand 28 3/4" tall 16" diameter filigree top
This appears to be a very old. Cast iron, ornate plant stand or small table in the Victorian garden style. It is 28 and 3/4" tall and has a 16" diameter top. The legs form a tripod attached to a central column. Part of the pattern includes cranes on the legs. It is in an unrestored condition. There is no damage to the integrity of the cast iron just paint loss and light rust which forms a nice patina. It seems to have had only one coat of paint. It is"heavy" and I will not attempt to ship it. I offer free pick up at my home. I recently had reason to take another heavy purchase to UPS and asked advice on shipping the cast iron plant stand. They gave us an estimate of $20. for boxing and an example of $80. to ship the stand to the west coast. Shipping would naturally depend on the destination. The dial stands 3 1/4" I have tried to research this piece and cannot give an exact answer to what it depicts. I know the Crest usually represents British Royalty. I thought with the thistle and tulip(both flowers depict Royalty) it could be a piece from Scotland. The various Priest or Saints could well represent Catholic figures and the Queen possible Mary Queen of Scotland. This is my interpretation. Huge Cast Iron VTG Primitive Mermaid Yard Garden Decor Nautical Sculpture 40"
Up for auction I have one of the coolest cast iron molded mermaids I have ever seen. She is over 3 feet long and weighs about 60lbs. We got her at an estate in Michigan. I would like to assume that. That is where she was probably made. She is hollow and you can see her mold lines. She has amazing age wear that just makes her better. She is not broken in any way. Just cool. Again. She is about 40" long. Her arms are about 15" apart and from the ground up she is about 17" tall. Looks like she spent most of her life outside being that the estate was on Lake Michigan. This is an old tractor seat that would look great in your garden. House, or loft. This antique seat is made of cast iron that was painted a reddish orange at some point. The number 73 is at the front of the seat. It is 15 7/16 inches wide by 12 1/2 inches deep including 1 inch for a loop at the back. It is 4 inches tall at the back. This seat must have been out in the weather for a long time before it was cleaned and painted. The metal is still strong, but there is lots of pitting from old rust under the paint. Some of the paint has worn off. This piece is colorful with a lot of visual interest. It will go with modern, country, or industrial interiors.

Here's a great looking old drum transfer pump. Made by A Y McDonald of Dubuque, Iowa in the 1940's or prior. It has a brass casing with copper top and cast iron handle and a heavy steel pipe. The whole thing is very heavily made. Nice buffed condition with normal surface wear and scuffs. Compressed. It measures 33" long with a17" of that being the bottom pipe. The spout is a little over 6" wide and the casing is about 2" wide. Was used to pump oil. Gas or water from a drum. A great addition to your man cave or garagemahal. Weighs a little over 7 pounds. This seeder is a Kansas barn fresh find and has not been cleaned or restored. The spinning blade is galvanized metal and is stamped"80793" The seeder measures ~ 17" L x 6 1/2" W x 2 1/2" H and weighs 3 lbs, the original seed bag is missing. This is a great architectural salvage piece. Measuring approx. 14.5 inches tall from top of tip to bottom and 6 1/2 inches wide on base. It is a thin. Lightweight metal and as you can see from the bottom that it is a gray colored metal, but it is heavily oxidized and has layers on the outside of it in shades of brown and white.it is weathered and has A LOT of character to it. We were told at the estate sale that the house of the estate was featured in Better Homes and garden in the early 1950's so this is a fresh from Mercer Island goodie and it was with two other sprinklers of the same make.
