Sun Ray Push Mower Vintage
For auction is a vintage Sun Ray push mower. This thing still cuts grass easily after all these years! It belonged to my neighbor who said that her husband used it in the 1950s. However my feeling is that it's older than that. I'm not a vintage lawnmower aficionado, but this push mower looks like it's in great shape for its age. Pump is 33"tall. The handle is 29" long and the base is 9" on the very bottom. I see no breaks or cracks. Nice old pump just the way it is or you can strip the pump and repaint. Either way it's a nice country item.

I cleaned these feeders in hot soapy water and a soft fiber brush.There is a manufactures mark on the top of these feeders but I did not want to disturb the patina of these items. You can see from the photos that the rust is creeping into the round slots of these feeders but I would hazard a guess to say that these feeders are between 50- 100 years old! This rusty red wheel barrow is amazing! If you love red. Rust and patina, this is the one for you! It is functional for the garden as well as decorative, use your imagination! I believe it is from the 40's or 50's. Made of metal with rust breaking through the paint and paint chipping off. It is not rusted through, still solid! The wheels are in great shape and work great. The red metal bucket is 30 1/2" x 18" and 11" deep at the deepest part. It stands 14 1/2" tall from the ground to the top of the bucket. The single handle extends out 20" and is 24" tall at the end. What a statement piece for your garden! So this thing I call"The Seeder" Although it's an old farming tool. It's made of metal, iron I'm pretty sure because it's all rusty, and is pretty heavy. From my research, this was used to drop seeds into the ground. It has a wheel in the front and a container on the top(actually on the bottom in the photos) to fill with seeds. They fall through the bottom as you push it along. I'm sure it had a wooden handle at one point, but it's long gone. Very cool rusty vintage piece. One would place a bunch of asparagus inside the open tool and even up the ends of the vegetables against the wooden end board. The ratcheting top closure could then hold the bunch together as the bunch was tied off. A tab under the handle releases the lever to open the unit for the next bunch. A very nice. late 60s Allis-Chalmers B-1 Garden Tractor
We purchased this Lawn tractor in 1974 when I was young. We used it mainly for mowing. In the 90s after I married and moved away the engine failed and my parents parked it in the woods. In 2000 I needed a mower and I had the engine rebuilt with electronic ignition for better reliability and more power. This is an 8HP cast iron block engine. These engines are highly desired by people that like to make power for tractor pulling, but I wanted to keep this unit together. I restored the rest of the tractor by a complete tear down(see photos) and rebuild/repaint complete with new decals. The gear box was gone through by a tractor implement that specializes in Allis products. New seals and bearings throughout with assurance that all gears were in excellent shape with very little wear. I purchased a snow thrower and since 2000 the tractor has been ... moreused for snow in the winter and lawn in the summer. This is being sold in good running condition except for the starter motor is not charging the battery as it should. I have not tried to repair this as I have known about it since 2000 but have not found it to be a big deal. I charge it with a battery charger and it works the entire season. Included in the sale is a very detailed owners manual that I purchased online, a non-restored 42 inch mower deck with belt to operate, a 36 inch non-restored snow thrower with a belt to operate, and tire chains for winter. I also have a homemade push blade that is functional but very ugly and may be broken that the winner of this auction can pick up and keep if they would like it. The PTO shaft on the front was used to run a hydraulic pump and operate a wood splitter for a few years in the 80's but there is currently nothing attached for that function any more. I have the correct tires for the front of it if you will be showing the tractor at shows, but the tires are old and have some weather checking.
