ANTIQUE HAND SEEDER/PLANTER THE AMERICAN STANDARD Condition Is good to very good showing an operational antique hand seeder/planter. The wooden arm contains stencils of"The American Standard" on the front and"Sheffield MF'G Co. Burr Oak, Mich. U.S.A. and"Patent Oct. 13, 1891& Patent July 25, 1893" on the back. The wood is not broken, split or cracked and the metal mechanics of the hopper work good and smooth. At the bottom of the hopper the metal disc ratchets and drops a seed down the shoot, the spring on the side pushes the foot lever forward and automatically resets for the next seed to be planted. Antique Hand Held Scythe. We found it hanging on the wall as a decor item in an enclosed. Garden porch at an estate sale. It's not marked for maker or age, my best guess is that it dates to around 1930. Wooden handle. The blade is held to the metal curved part by 2 rivets. The blade is about 12" long, it weighs 1 pound. Condition: A lot of wear on the wood handle; splits. Scrapes a few little paint spots. All metal parts are covered in rust. No dings on the blade, all the parts are tight. All questions are welcomed. This is a vintage/antique garden hand tool that was definitely made to last for many years of hard use. This neat old trowel is made of heavy duty steel with a sturdy oak handle-it weighs in at nearly 13 ounces. The overall length is 13 1/2"the blade is 6" and with the shaft it is 10 1/2" That stubby oak handle is 1 1/2" across the top. There is a bit of a gap between the bottom edge of the handle and the shaft but the handle is very well secured.it is not about to come loose. Another neat feature of this trowel is the tabs at the top of the blade.not quite sure why unless to keep you from digging too far down. The blade still has some of the original gray paint and a little light surface rust. It would"spiffy" up really good if you prefer your old tools that way. Antique Vintage GARDEN HAND TOOL, RAKE Primitive -yard garden art
For auction is a great vintage/ antique metal garden hand rake. It is used and weathered. Rustic, perfect for yard art, country style or vintage decor look or to make a perfect addition to your collection. The head of rake is metal and handle is wooden although it is almost entirely wrapped with what appears to be electrical tape. Looks like it has been that way forever, meaning it actually blends in.
