It is approx 7" wide at sprinkler heads- hard to measure and approx 8" wide on base. It has a small marking or letter or number on the bottom of the stand(although I can't read it) and the top is orange and the bottom cast iron portion appears to be painted in red although it is very worn and paint has a lot of oxidation and wear. One of a Kind FOLK ART Penguin Water Can ~ Water Sprinkler It is VERY hard for me to part with this great find. Found him along my tour of the 400 mile sale in the hills of Kentucky He is crusty and rusty but a Fabulous piece of Folk Art I filled him up with water tonight and he does not leak Hand-painted and hand-made metal with wooden handle Approximately 13 inches tall x 7 inches wide He does have rust and paint loss as seen in picture but overall I think he is awesome.
