Other side of the item says“Cast Brass” It may have been previously repaired as it does weep a TINY bit where spray area connects to brass body but it does not make it any less RARE as others out here are painted metal but NOT CAST Brass. It really does WORK REALLY GREAT for its age. Had a really old ... morehard red rubber washer in it and I installed another used washer I found in the garage. Hooks up(screws on) to a standard garden hose. Really provides a nice gentle soaking spray without disturbing the dirt or tender plants. Perhaps it could shine up nicely if you have the time and patience and proper cleaner to play with it. Pair of GREAT early antique concrete eagle statues. They are both signed on the back. But I can't make out the maker or mark. They have carved feather details on the wings and heads. The bottoms show they were attached somehow to poles or pillars? We have owned these for more than 10 years. They measure approx: 24 inches tall by 12 inches wide by 14 inches deep. Vintage 1930s Metal Clown Lawn Sprinkler - Sprinkler Sam
This vintage 1930s metal lawn sprinkler is made of heavy gauge steel. It stands 3 feet tall(this one has a sharp metal pointed piece attached to the base for insertion into the grass to stabilize it while in use- it is rare to have this piece intact) and has a 9" diameter base. This is made to rotate when a garden hose is attached to the hose on the sprinkler. A small section of rubber hose has broken off where it gets inserted into the lower right leg of the clown. If you don't intend to use this as a sprinkler. But as a collectible piece of folk art, you could simply join the two pieces of hose together with an appropriate adhesive; otherwise, you could easily replace the section of hose. There is some rust on the surface of the sprinkler but no flaking paint; the painted details are still clear and the existing patina authenticates ... moreit's age and adds to the character and charm of this piece without interferring with identifying marks.
