This is 5 ½” long x 3 ½” wide and 1 ¾” depth at the widest point. Still has a good cutting edge. This has been lightly cleaned but has never been wire brushed. It is in very good to excellent shape. We are selling a vintage garden hoe that we think is at least 50 or 60 years old. The metal head is small in relation to the size of the handle. The head itself has a rounded hand formed/ filed look. The handle is unmarked as to maker. As is the hoe head. The handle is 52” long. And the head is 5” long x 2 5/8” high. This hoe is in“as found” farm fresh condition– from an estate sale. The head has some surface rust and dirt from the old days; however. The head is solid as well as the wood handle. Please see the photos which augment our description. Vintage Rusty Shovel Head~Great Garden Sculpture~Union Fork & Hoe Co~Razor Back
This is an old rusty shovel head that was made by UNION FORK& HOE CO. It also says RAZORBACK. TEMPERED 2 on the shaft. it measures 20 1/2" from the point of the shovel to the back of the shaft. It is 8 1/2" wide at the shoulder. From the shoulder(or where you would put your foot if you were using it) to the point is 11" There is still part of a wood handle in the shaft below the bolt. It is in pretty good condition and could still be used as a shovel if you want to put on a new handle. I have a collection of rusty implements that most people like to display in their garden or use as part of a welded sculpture. Please ask questions prior to bidding.
