The glass medallions are 1 1/4" in diameter and rise 1/8" from the rim of the embossed brass surround. There's a wonderful bronzed verde finish to the cast iron. Which I believe is all original. Vintage Antique 2 pane window reverse glass advertising Attorney At Law Lawyer
For sale is an antique. Vintage, old 2 pane window with reverse glass advertising that says, Attorney At Law' Done in gold or gold leaf lettering on a black background with a white background around that; very good colors. Some scratching, wear, and dirt to the glass. There is a break in the top pane of glass by the letter'N' in'Attorney' luckily the pieces were kept and repaired by someone along with tape on the back. The broken pieces are tight together. The wooden window frame is also tight and in good condition, but the brown paint on the front has flaked in a few places and the white paint on the back side has pretty much been worn off, which isn't a big deal since it's the back side. A lawyer owned this beautiful antique and had it hanging in his office until he retired, and then hung it in his house until ... morehe died and was sold at his estate. He drilled two holes in the back of the wooden window frame to hang. I do not know the age of the window; probably early to early-mid 1900's considering the window and hardware. Overall size is 19" X 35" Maybe came from an old small firm or private legal practice where a lawyer hung his shingle out for business. Even with the small break in the top glass, it is complete and has wonderful character. Sold'As Is' with defects I have tried to show and explain. I will pack very carefully. This windows were framed with wood running between to two rectangular panels and wood running between the two bottom panels and the top half-round panel. SHUTTERS, ANTIQUE LARGE EXTERIOR HOUSE, 18" x 55"
Antique large wood exterior shutter. 18 in. wide by 55 in. long and 1 1/2" thick. Made from three 6" x 3/4" boards with two 4" x 3/4" x 16" long cross boards. The shutter is heavy, made from a hardwood, perhaps oak but we don't know for sure. Each board has beveled edges along their length. Weight of shutter is 15 pounds. It is painted a reddish brown with a red coat underneath. On the backside the boards are rough and painted white. It has been cleaned up and ready to use. I made New Fabric insert panels from unbleached muslin, They gather on to spring loaded metal rods. Solid cherry wood. Natural aged finish. Sturdy tongue& groove construction, Antique brass Metal Hook& latch closure. Wrap around hinges(no missing pins) Great condition, I noticed a bit of scuffing on the wood. No cracks! 2 Vintage 6 panes window sash they were removed from a house built in 1967. The old wood frames size is approx. 32 x 19. These are top sashes. The 12 original glass panes are approx. 8-3/4 x 7-1/2. T he interior wood frames have a very light coat of stain on them. They have dents and chips. Some moisture marks, as you can see in the pictures. These 2 top sashes were removed from a house built in the 1919. The heavy and solid wood frames size is approx. 32 x 27 each. The 12 original Wavy glass panes are approx. 8-3/4 x 11-1/2. The frames have old chipping white paint on them. They have some dents and chips. Some of the exterior putty around the glass might be cracked here and there.
