FOR SALE- This is the best of the best- Here are 4 solid brass window sash pulls removed from a very old home here in central Illinois. I feel the home was probably built around 1870 or 1880. These are just fabulous as they are very ornate- intricate- fancy- they are special. These handles are extra heavy as the 4 have a combined weight of almost 1 pound 2 ounces. The overall size of each pull is 5 1/4" wide x 1 7/8" tall and each pull has the word LARGO stamped on the back. These all have there natural patina and have not had any cleaning solutions applied to them. I am positive you will not be disappointed with these. You’re just not going to find this at your local home center. The main body of the lock as well as the keeper is cast brass/bronze. The working mechanism is cast iron that has light rust and pitting but does not affect how it works. Patent date on bottom 1887. Lock and keeper were given a fast cleaning and wiped down with an oiled rag but other than that it’s being sold ... morein as found condition. The approximate measurements are 2 ¼” long x 1 1/8” deep at their base and the keeper is about 2 ¼” x 5/8” deep. I also have others listed just like these but a little larger. Circ. 1880s to early 1900s. Free shipping in a padded envelope. Oil has been applied but they should have a final cleaning and clear coated or painted for continued protection. This is a circa 1910. Arts and Crafts Period solid brass window sash lift. The lift measures 3 1/8" wide x 1 5/8" in height, with a 3/8" depth. The brass lift is unused and is one of a set of 30 that are available. Many of the lifts are still in their original paper. Some that have lost their wrappings have some oxidation and other wrapped brass is as original. There are some missing screws in the set. They are being sold per lift with 30 available. Penn Antique Restoration. 12" Antique"Yale" Solid Cast Brass Window Stay. Rare. Antique, casement window stay made by, Yale& Towne, of Stamford, CT sometime during the first half of the previous century. It is made entirely of solid, heavy, thick, cast brass, not plated steel. Originally, it was copper-plated, however, most of the plating wore off over the years and only traces of copper could be seen here and there. If you are not familiar with this type of hardware. It keeps the window open at a specified distance from the sill. When you wish to open the window, loosen the knob by simply turning it in a counter clockwise direction. 10 Solid Brass 1920s Large Classroom Window Sash Locks with Finger Pull Rings
These 10 solid brass 2-piece window sash locks were recently removed from the large windows being replaced during the renovation of an old building in Central Virginia. The building had been built in the 1920s and the windows were from very large rooms that had been used as instructional/class rooms. I have not cleaned the locks and you can see they still retain all of their original patina from being grasped and used for almost a century. A few have some small remnants of paint. The base of each 2-piece lock measures about 2.5" x 2"4" and weighs about 7.8 ounces. These heavy duty locks are made from solid brass and use 4 screws each. Their original 40 solid brass screws are also included. Each screw was carefully removed and all are still in very good usable condition. Please see first 8 photos.
