5 Antique 1872 Eastlake Cast Iron Window Latch Sash Lock Hardware Stripped Bare
Up for auction is a set of 5 antique 1872 Easlake Victorian window latch locks plus one part. These have all been stripped to bare metal and lightly sprayed with lacquer to inhibit rust. Absolutely not reproductions! These had about 6 layers of paint. A bit of work got these to this point. Each measures 2 1/4" wide x 2" deep. Nice Eastlake design on the latch. These close by rotating the latch on the arch of the second half. It locks and squeezes the windows together to"seal" drafts. Three of these have the spring steel that allows you to keep pressure. Two are missing the spring steel. This is an easy fix by just cutting a small piece of spring steel and squeezing it into place. These still function without but work better with. Vintage EastLake Brass Window Latch Lock Set. Eagle Claw they where dug out of a old garage that hasn't been touched in years. Great vintage architectural pieces. Put them on the window or use them on cabinets. They have a brass knob that has a great green patina. They are also rusted and need some WD-40 so that they rotate smoothly there is an extra claw and no catch so I did not include it in total. So there are 12 claws and 11 catches. Two eastlake transom window sash pulls. Circa 1890's. Bronze, in fully working condition, all springs and parts working well. Each latch and catch measure 2"l. The catch being 11/16ths" and the latch body being 1 1/4"l. The height of both halves is 2 2/16ths" These are in excellent condition. For sale separate or as a pair.

BRASS window LATCH - 1876 **UNIQUE!** Antique - EASTLAKE - (DH570)
Very unique original brass antique window latch. Very nice! It has been cleaned and lacquered. And works flawlessly. When closed it measures almost 3" long by over 2" tall. The first three photos show how it opens. I see Eastlake. Egyptian, and Masonic influences in the design. According to the printing on the back. It was patented in the year of America's centennial(1876) on(Tuesday) Jan. 4 and(Tuesday) June 13. It's a nice antique piece. But used and imperfect. Antique cast iron window sash latch and latching plates eastlake victorian
Set of 7 antique cast iron latching plates for window sash latch and 1 sash latch. The latch is good condition. There is up and down play in the handle, not sure if this is normal or from wear. there are a couple of faint hairline cracks in the porcelain knob but no indication of cracking apart. The latch mounting plate measures 2 1/2" x 3/4" the latching plates are 2 3/16" long.
