Vintage 1920's 6 Pane Cyress Window with glass from old home in New Orleans
This auction is for 1 Vintage 6 pane Cypress window with glass from 1920's This window was removed from my home dated built in 1927. All the millwork. Siding, and doors are cypress, so the windows are cypress also. The windows are weathered from sitting and from being on the house in need of some painting. This windoe has all it's glass. None of them are loose even though some of the old putty is missing. Putty is missing from the center bottom pane. I tried to get a good picture of how deep the glass sits in these frames. It's 1 inch. Each pane measures 10 X 14 if your using it for pictures you can place the large pics in or if your using 8 x 10's you can add them matted. Here is a very old window sash that is white on both sides and is very aged and weathered. The sash measures 27' wide by 28 1/8' tall and is 1 1/8' thick. The glass measures 8' wide by 12' tall. One glass is cracked and one does not fit very good and someone caulked it with rubber caulk to secure. This window probably came out of a very old chicken house. I hope my pictures show you what you need to know about this sash. It would be great for a hobby project or what ever else you could think of. When I mail a sash I build a wood frame around it- wrap with several layers of foam-cover with cardboard and staple. I do not guarantee the glass will be intact shipping it by the USPS. It is an 6 pane wood window with the original white paint finish that is distressed from age. The mirror was added at some point. It measures 28 1/2" x 27 1/2" x 1" It displays a wonderful distressed look and the mirror is clear and free of silvering or other defects. please note the garland is for display purpose and not included in listing.
