Two original Antique Victorian cast iron and bronze"eagle claw" window sash locks only no keepers/ catches. Matching original or reproduction keepers can be found online. This exquisitely ornametal window hardware is from the 1880's. The patented Eastlake style 1886. Eagle Claw double hung sash locks were made by the H. B. Ives Company of New Haven, Connecticut. REDUCED! VICTORIAN BRONZE SASH LIFTS. Ornate. Window. 1884 Branford "Ivy"
COLLECTOR QUALITY CAST BRONZE SASH LIFTS The lot consists of 2 cast bronze sash lifts. The fist lift was made by a quality manufacturer of the 1970's. Perhaps Russell& Erwin, Corbin, or Hopkins and Dickenson. It is cast in heavy bronze and features classical floral design characters of the period. The heart-shape is quite becoming, and the top of the finger lift has a a design that matches the body. It's really one of the finest sash lifts I have come across. The lift was non-destructively polished. There is a small defect, possibly from casting, on the right outside edge just where the finger pull ends- I only noticed it when I looked at the enlarged photo. The body of the lift has a very slight curve in the upper portion, perhaps from casting, as the bronze is so heavy it's unlikely it could have been bent. It will fit quite ... moresnugly when mounted on the window sash. It measure about 1-1/2" wide by 1-1/2" high. The second one was made by Branford Lock Works. Branford, CT and dates from 1884. It features an attractive Branford pattern called"Ivy" designed by J.J. Kennedy, who received Design Pat. 14,538 on Jan 8, 1884. The back of the lift is stamped with"DESIGN PAT JAN 8 84" The front of the lift features the same Ivy design seen in the knobs and plates of this Branford design suite. Crafted in heavy cast bronze, 1-7/8" wide and about 1-1/2" high. The finger lift is strong and shows no metal fatigue. Back quite flat. Design has some residue of brass polish, or perhaps superficial greenish corrosion, but there is no pitting. These pieces are priced to reflect the quality and rarity.

Antique Bronze Window Sash Locks Latches Unusual Cast Eastlake? Lot of 2 Each
THIS AUCTION IS FOR A Pair of USED Unusual Antique Bronze Window Sash Locks Latches These latches were obtained at a local estate sale and I do not the history of this item. The people I obtained these heavy latches from explained to me that they believe that they were window latches removed from the old Connecticut State House that had been demolished some time ago. Their father owned a construction company that was hired back in the day to be part of the demolition. Unfortunately. The farther is not with us to say for sure so I can't be certain. I understand that in most cases it is best to leave old hardware in it's found state but unfortunately I had to clean them. They were extremely dirty and had a lot of paint on them that was hardened to the surface. You would never be able to see the detail unless this was done. Once I brushed ... morethem of with a a wire brush. All the latches were treated with Rust-Oleum Aircraft Remover. Then I had rinse them wire brush them again. After I got most of the finish and paint off. I put the latches in a salt and vinegar solution to brighten them up and of course, I brushed them with a copper brush. They are not 100% clean but the bulk of the cleaning is done. They are stripped down pretty well overall. As I stated. They were taken off a structure previously so they are not in mint condition. You can see some bending on the metal tabs and other imperfections such as scratches and nicks. The latches were definitely made from cast. The color of the latches vary. Some appear to have more copper tint than brass. The weight of one latch base is appx. 5.3 oz and the top portion is appx. 2 oz. Top portion is appx. 3" across 3/4" in height. 3/4" in depth. 2 mounting holes. The bottom portion is appx. 3 1/16" across at the widest point and appx. 1 1/2" in height( not including the latch mechanism. 4 mounting holes. I tried to do some research on these latches but I could not fine out much or find any design like them. There are no markings. The latch that

One VTG Antique Brass/Bronze Window Sash Lift Recessed Finger Pull Flush Cup
You are bidding on One Antique Vintage Brass/Bronze Window Sash Lift Recessed Finger Pull Flush Cup Escutcheon. The lift measures almost 5" long and 1 1/2" top to bottom. It is about 1/2" deep- just enough to put your fingertips down in the cup. From the center of the hole to center of hole is about 3 7/8" It has a very delicate design and is marked on the back. On one end it is marked 813 and the other end is marked Louis XIII. The lift is in very good condition and ready to use. Superb and very unusual pair of early 19thc French architectural bronze and steel sash window supports. Dating c.1830. Excellent attention to detail on these sash window supports. The female figures- half woman/half beast(the lower part of figure is a large claw foot) are bronze with the surrounding sash frame being steel. Measures some 8.75" height x 3.75" depth at base area x 3 width. Excellent and age commensurate condition and all as per images. A superb pair of 19thc French sash window supports. C.1830.
