Vintage WINDOW SHUTTER BAR LATCH Catch Old Blacksmith Made Iron. Wooden Shutters
Antique Victorian Iron Blacksmith-Made SHUTTER BAR With Keeper An old SHUTTER BAR-LATCH for use with wooden window shutters. It is blacksmith-made from rivetted iron. And the bar is 10 inches long. It is complete with the iron keeper which has a shaped guard- this may not be the original as it has a slightly different sized backplate, but is perfectly serviceable for use with this bar. There is nothing in the keeper to engage with the slot- it could be drilled for a pin if needed, though this is not really necessary. Vintage Rustic Country Chic Window with Latch
Very neat old vintage window that was on hinges that swung open. Latch remains on the piece. Glass is in very good condition with no chips or scratches. The glass is old with ripples if you look down at a certain angle. I tried to capture that with the camera. But it doesn't look the same as in person. It was painted white and yellow at one time as you can tell by the remaining paint. The back of the piece is mostly yellow. It measures 38 inches high, by 33.5 inches wide, by 1.5 inches deep. These are not solid brass, they are some sort of cast brass because they are magnetic. You will receive 6 screws with eash set as well. Vintage EastLake Brass Window Latch Lock Set. Eagle Claw they where dug out of a old garage that hasn't been touched in years. Great vintage architectural pieces. Put them on the window or use them on cabinets. They have a brass knob that has a great green patina. They are also rusted and need some WD-40 so that they rotate smoothly there is an extra claw and no catch so I did not include it in total. So there are 12 claws and 11 catches. The 2-inch lock bolt extends about ½-inch into the catch and can be retracted flush by pulling the knob and twisting it slightly. All six locks work well. The lock base is about 1-1/8 x 1-¼ inch. The latch plates are about 1 5/16 inches x 9/16 inches. They all are iron with a coppery finish that appears more brassy in the photos. All have some level of finish loss and oxidation as shown in the photos.

3 Complete Vintage Antique Victorian Window Latch Sets. Locks. Brass + 1 Latch. Swing locks are a little stiff due to storage, a bit of oil is recommended. Seller bought these latches in the 1970s from an antique shop outside Detroit. I originally had 4 sets(2 pieces comprise a set) Due to moving and time, 1 catch piece was lost, so basically there are 3 full sets plus 1 latch for a total of 7 individual pieces. The pieces are very decorative and measure 2-5/8" long. Screws are not included.
