It is made of solid wood, and has a delicate inlay on the drawer fronts. The dresser has floral glass pulls on it that I am sure are not original to the dresser. They are very pretty, are larger in diameter, and are mostly in good condition but some of them have some chips, particularly towards the back where they are touching the wood. The dresser drawers used to have locks in them, but now only have holes in these areas. The dresser has dovetail joints that I believe are English dovetails.

Here is a vintage Ethan Allen Baumritter Vermont maple chest of drawers. This 1950s/ 1960s chest stands 46 in tall by 34 in wide and 19 in deep. Its in very good condition. It has scratches, a ding on the top of a drawer( see photos) There is a seam separation, which is visible up close on the top. Its very tight, a refinish overall would fix that. Its completely solid and sturdy, nothing lose. The Vermont maple construction makes this too heavy to ship. Pick up only. The drawers move easily and are clean. The serpentine shape is indicative of the Georgian period style and lends the piece an air of elegance. The top is hewn from a magnificent selection of flame mahogany a very ... morepopular wood originally imported exclusively to England from Jamaica during the mid 1700’s. The crotch mahogany that is found on the fronts of the drawers was cut from a single piece and separated into five different drawers that graduate in size as the descend. The all brass oval pulls on the drawers have recently been replaced. The bracket feet are the finishing touch on this elegant piece of history. The top two drawers have locks but no key is present. Overall in good condition. There are some cosmetic issues to mention on this lingerie chest. The top has a small ding on the left side and some very light, old marks here and there. The drawers open and shut easily and the oval pulls are in great shape. There is a bit of crazing on the fronts of the drawers which is evident in the images. You will also notice some dings on the feet. The overall look of the chest is quite handsome and the patina of this piece will only continue to become more beautiful throughout the generations. description we are very excited to offer this exquisite pair of drexel chest of drawers(only one shown in pics) these measure 45" tall x 36" wide.
