the face is not bad it just needs washing or refinishing! the guy built and used it and keep his tools in it in his work shed! it is heavy and strong with heavy duty wheels and heavy deco chrome brass pulls. it is about 50 inches tall. he used oak. Pine crates to plywood. scrapes! it would look great refinished cleaned up or even painted! the bottom face is dusty and it really just need soap and water or you can refinish paint or leave as is. located in Waterbury ct of I84! big deep strong drawers. GREAT STORAGE FOR TOOLS AND EVEN CAN BE USED AS A PANTRY! each drawer has a lock. if you find a key it most likely the same for all. This wonderful Chest has dove-tailed drawers that are made out of solid wood on the inside. See pictures, and they are working properly. This classic Chest of Drawers has antique Brass-finish handles on the front, see pictures, and it was produced by Northern Furniture, a fine furniture manufacturer. Unique wood chest designed to look like four stacked suitcases. Each suitcase has a single wood drawer with a leather handle. The strapping and corner protectors are also leather. The chest is made of wood covered with what I would best describe as a heavy textured linen(feels like material/canvas and is not plastic or vinyl) This is a gorgeous piece designed to look like a stack of antiqued suitcases. I had planned to use it in the guest bedroom that is decorated in a West Indies style and then decided I like it too much to have it hidden away in room that is hardly used. But two of the bottom drawers rub/stick due to the moisture in air. This older house is very close to ocean and has no ceiling fans. Item has been in this house for 7 yrs. Once you get it to new location the moisture should dry out. All the drawers worked fine when I had chest in different house. I bought this item as USED 35 years ago. So it has a few years on it! There are 5 deep drawers. Says Drexel in top drawer. Made of solid wood. Mahogany is a hard wood. It is very difficult to find items made of solid Mahogany ... moretoday. Drawers are dovetail.
