This one is in good condition with only light signs of aging and use. The crank turns nicely. A good grinder. It measures about 10 x 10 x 8 inches counting the crank handle and weighs 5 pounds. Pa, U.S.A. on the crank handle. It does have the grinder mold in it. This is a an old piece and does show signs of use, but does not have any rust on it. The crank turns easily.

It's simply beautiful. It's mostly shiny and I'm sure that it could be polished up even further. It has a few very small areas of light rust. The painted wood handle is in beautiful condition. This auction is for a vintage Griswold Meat Grinder with 2 extra blades. It is a No.2. It is in fair condition with signs of age and ware. It is marked on front of grinder. And handle is marked" 1742 The G.M. Co. Erie, PA" Handle unsrews easily. Back of mounting section is marked" 1712" Metal plating on front has a line in it that looks like a crack, but it isn't. No cracks on metal, just scratches from use and age. Blades are inter changable and all total there are 3 blades. Blades assembly unscrews easily along with mounting screw. Mounting section is approx 1 1/4" Blades are 2 1/2" Grinding area is 3" x 2" Whole grinder is approx 9" x 8" x 4 1/2" I am not an expert on this, so what you see is what you get. The finish is fantastic with no rust and light patina. All the parts function and are in good working condition. The piece has seen minimal if any use. The handle is marked"The G. M. Co. Erie PA" The Grinder weighs 4 lbs 8.9 oz. All the moving parts function as they should though they could use a touch of oil. Vintage Griswold Erie Pa No 2 Hand Crank Meat Food Grinder Nice
This Vintage No. 2 Griswold Hand Crank Food Meat Grinder is in real nice shape and working order for its age. Still pretty clean looking to some of the ones I've come across. It does feature a removable blade disc. However the unit only has one as pictured. There is no damage to the unit and the wooden handle is in perfect shape and condition, with no cracks, chips or splintering. Perfect for the up and coming deer hunting season. Great to have in an Emergency Preparedness Kit. To have on hand if any natural disasters should occur, for it requires no electricity to operate.

3 Vintage Food Choppers Made in the USA. Includes the following: 1) Keystone" 20" cast iron chopper marked as made by"C.I. Co. Boyertown. PA" the C.I. appearing to stand for Colebrookdale Iron, a company originally engaged in the manufacture of sad irons and trivets, with history as far back as the early 1700s. Early 20th century advertising copy confirms this. Founded by Thomas Rutter and Thomas Potts, C.I. made its food grinders from the 1920's into the 1940's. This chopper is marked in raised letters"Keystone" and"20" on one side and"C.I. Co. Boyertown, PA" on the other. It is also marked"Made in USA" along the clamp stem. It comes with 5 extruder plates(one of which is solid, intended to help chop the meat before switching to a true extruder plate) This chopper's ... moreblades are a fixed part of the body, rather than separate, an unusual design. Essentially, food chopping became a two step process. The solid plate with solid"blades" was attached, the food chopped by the internal"body" blades and solid plate, then the solid plate was switched to one of the other plates for extrusion. Hardwood handle. 2) Aluma chopper made by J.K. Sebo of Brooklyn New York. J.K. Sebo went bankrupt in 1941. So that this chopper dates from the 30's or before. Highly unusual in that it's the only cast aluminum food chopper from this period that I'm aware of. A must for your collection! It is marked" Aluma" in script with an underline on the body and"J.K. Sebo& Co. Brooklyn 21 N.Y. on the handle. Hardwood handle. It comes with the steel chopper blade and one steel extrusion plate. Because of the cast aluminum construction. It doesn't weight as much as the cast iron models and the body will not rust. 3) Made in Erie. This nice looking grinder comes with a total of 3 strainers and the cutting blade. Has some surface loss and dings, but lots of the original finish remains and this grinder would be ready to work right away(or to be displayed) Strainers and blade do have some rust but are intact and sharp. Has the number" 2" and clear" GRISWOLD" lettering and logo on one side. Handle has" 1742 THE G. M. CO. ERIE. PA. Antique Griswold Food Grinder #2- 453a
I have listed this piece as an antique. Then I am also an antique because I remember distinctly using this in my mother's kitchen when I was a child. It was screwed to the bread board and I would often take turns grinding the meat for the meatballs she was making. This could have belonged to my grandmother but I am not certain about that. As you can see in the picture. There are several different discs that can be used. The wooden handle is solid and all of the pieces for the grinder are there.
