Vintage Enterprise No. 22 Tinned Cast Iron Meat Grinder Chopper 1886
Hi. You are looking at a cast iron tinned meat grinder made by Enterprise. It features a wooden handle and'Pat. Jan.30.83 Apl.13.86, Philadelphia U.S.A. on one side. It has been left in its original condition with no restorations. It has more of a gray appearance than silver. There is rust throughout and some small spots of paint. The interior looks nicer but is also rusty. The strain plate has surface rust as well. The copper ring on the wooden handle has turned green and is loose. The handle turns but does make a lot of noise. It sits flat on a flat surface and is able to be screwed down. It is complete and appears to work properly. Pieces look much better when disassembled. The 10" tall zinc plated chopper has a 7" handle with a wooden knob. ~ It has light wear. A darkened metal patina, and the handle thumb screw has been REPLACED with a regular hex bolt. The wooden knob has a smooth chip on one side. Also included are four cutter attachments, and one is a NUT BUTTER CUTTER. My photos show the exact item that you are getting. this grinder comes as you see it on the pictures. whole grinder measures 10 length x 5 1/2 width x 7 height inches whole grinder weighs 5 pounds before packing it to ship. the opening on top/mouth measures 6 length x 3 width handle alone is 8 inches long. there are only few accesories with it. All pictured. very easy to remove and put back the accesories on the grinder to clean or change cutting blades. i am not positive it's complete but seem to rotate well. was not tested with any food. there is a small paper with some instruction too. see pictures for writings on bottom and top. one small rubber for base/leg support missing. but does not affect it in anyway. there are scratches. Large model with a 6" round throat, unique in that it has no plates, the ground material comes out three slots in the bottom of the barrel on the grinder, see number 6 picture. The patent date was 1895, so its a older model, good condition other than it needs a good cleaning before using. Vintage Enterprise NO 12 Tinned Meat Chopper/Grinder in wonderful working condition. This is heavy cast iron with wood handle and weights almost 9 Lbs. The piece measures 9 inches wide and 12 inches tall from the bottom to the top of the handle. Looks fantastic as you can see in the pictures. No reserve so bid to own it.
