This is an extremely rare Keystone model 120 meat grinder in great condition. This meat grinder has an antique wooden board attached with antique screws and nails. The board attached to this meat grinder makes this grinder extremely rare and a hard to find item. The meat grinder is in excellent condition with barely if any rusting and all of it's parts there and working. The meat grinder has two grinding attachments that go with it. Making it even rarer. The meat grinder grinds real smooth and they just don't make them like they used to. This grinder would be perfect for kitchen decor or would be fit to use. Up for bid is a very rare and antique VINTAGE GRISWOLD CAST IRON#1113 MEAT GRINDER FOOD CLAMP CHOPPER. It's really hard to find the No. 1113 Griswold Grinder. Looks great although it does has some surface rust and wear overall. And some dust on the surface need to be cleaned up. It has a nice spinning wood handle. It may be made of heavy cast iron. Old Antique 1900 Patent Universal No. 1, Food Chopper, Meat Grinder, Cast Iron
Here's an old or antique Universal No. 1"Food Chopper" or meat grinder kitchen tool we received recently with some older kitchen items. This one has many raised markings on the cast iron pieces and seems to have had patents in the late 1800's with one noted as 1900. So this is probably from the very early 1900's. The cutoff piece is reversible and has a multitooth side and a three tooth side. The wood handle is in nice shape with slight signs of use and age as one might expect. My guess is this had been in use for making hash or other ground meat and vegetable type meals up until recently. It is relatively clean though a little fine cleaning could be done. Other markings indicate"L F& C" of New Britain. CT, USA. To lend a little scale to the photos the grinder stands about 8 inches tall from the bottom ... moreof the frame to the top of the frame. The opening is about 3 inches by 2.5 inches. Nice old or antique kitchen tool, seems suited for continued use. That's about it. This had just a little surface rust on the inside.So I took it apart and cleaned it and treated it with mineral oil(a safe oil that you use on cutting boards) It could use some more cleaning. This weighs about 4 pounds! The crank turns easily one way, a little more difficult the other, but I am trying it not bolted down. The blade part turns easily. It is a RUSSWIN No. 0 model and was built by the Russell& Irwin Mfg Co in New Britain, Con. U.S.A. It reads"PAT. MCH 4, 02" on the body, and on the handle is states"PAT'D. IN CANADA AUG. 27, 01. I assume those are 19 02& 19 01. Although I suppose it's possible it could be 18 02& 18 01. But if you are looking at antique meat grinders I'm sure you know which century it represents. This handle is 9" long. And was made in Canada. At least, it was patented in Canada. That is what it says on the handle, PAT'D IN CANADA AUG. 27, 01. It has a wooden handle that spins for easy turning. The wood is very smooth, and isn't cracked or chipped. I would never worry about getting a splinter off this handle. The wood has been oiled, hardened and smoothed by the many hands that have turned the handle to grind meat for Sunday meatloaf dinner. I don't think the wood has never been painted. The joint, where the handle attaches to the grinder has a triangle, where they connect. The triangle is a half inch on each of the three sides. This handle looks like it has been used a few times. I wish it could talk and tell me how it ended up in southern California from Canada.

Hale of New Britain, Ct received his patent for his improved invention for a unique design he claimed to mince meats and vegetables. He claimed that his machine with arranged grooved cylinders that revolved in a cast ribbed case would grind and mince articles passing through it better than others. It has that valued beautiful patina which comes with the process of aging and some rust spotting.
