Most of the original nickle plating has come off, but the raised lettering is still clear and legible. The latest patent date on the handle is 1900, and it is signed LF&Co. This antique meat grinder is in amazing antique-y condition. It comes with two detachable blades. I believe it probably works still. Although. I have not tested it. This cast iron piece clamps onto a counter top with a c-clamp that works just fine. The wooden tipped hand-crank works smoothly as well. This grinder/chopper measures 11" long at its longest point.
