And just looks cool as all get out. As far as I can tell, there isn’t much that can go wrong with them. The latest of the patent dates is the American one(1900) The other patent dates are for Canada. The United Kingdom and Belgium. There are four cutters. Two of them appear to be for meat. Another is marked“Bread Crumber” And the last one says Condition– It has a patina that shows a lot of use. But there are no bad scratches on it. Some of the pages of the pamphlet are loose and it’s somewhat brittle with age. But it is otherwise readable. Since this weighs well over 4 pounds before any box or packaging. I will send it in a medium flat rate box, the cost of which will be $12.65- Free local pickup is an option if you can make your way to Saint Paul. This is a antique Universal 2 meat grinder. It has"L.F.C. New Britain. Conn. U.S.A. stamped on the side of the handle. It is a mountable grinder for a table. It is in great workable condition, although the iron is very old and shows weathering. I am not sure of the year of manufacturing. But it was passed down from a great grandparent so it is at least 3 generations old.

It's in excellent condition. Hand crank wood handle is in great shape. Sold as seen in photos without attachments. 10" H x 7" W Long before the days when food processors and blenders were standard electric appliances in the kitchen. For sale are two Antique meat grinders choppers. The first is a" UNIVERSAL 2" made by" L.F.C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. This metal food grinder has a wood handle knob which is not cracked or chipped. Metal part does have an area of rust. About 11" long. 10" wide, and weighs around 4 pounds. Does have some spots of rust and shows some wear but turns and works as intended. Included are three'cutting blades' for various size cuts. Screw for table mounting is intact. The second is a" CLIMAX 50" also made by" L.F.C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. About 9 1/2" long. 8" wide, and weighs around 3 pounds. All metal body with wood handle- not cracked or chipped. Also shows some wear and a couple rust spots. Works great. This is a vintage cast iron hand crank table top food chopper/meat grinder. Made by L.F. C. in New Britain Conn. U.S.A. It has a few different PAT. dates. 1897, 1899& 1900. It does have some normal wear and tear. Has some wear on the silver coating. Great patina for display. The handle on the crank is made of oak and still in great shape. Universal Food Chopper No. 2 L. F. C. New Britain. Conn USA. Great grinder with two disc attachments, one for nut butters and one for bread crumbs. What a useful item for your kitchen or for your collection. Great condition and works as it should. Some discoloration, slight rust, but the screw adjustments work easily and the handle turns with no problems. The wood handle has no cracks or chips.
