It's in excellent condition. Hand crank wood handle is in great shape. Sold as seen in photos without attachments. 10" H x 7" W Long before the days when food processors and blenders were standard electric appliances in the kitchen. This cast iron. Hand-operated Universal Food and Meat Chopper#2 is in very clean& functional condition, with five cutter blades for coarse, medium and fine chopping. The food chopper is stored unassembled in original box with warranty. The box still has the Macys store label from where this was apparently purchased. There is no instruction sheet included. Contents of the box include: grinder; chopping auger with feed screw end; wooden crank handle; five cutter blades; wing nut; and crank screw. The chopper clamps onto a table edge or counter with built-in clamp. This food chopper was“Made in U.S.A. Condition: Clean& shiny with just some occasional minor rust. Wooden handle clean with no chips or splintering. Box is solid but shows some spots and staining inside and out.

For sale are two Antique meat grinders choppers. The first is a" UNIVERSAL 2" made by" L.F.C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. This metal food grinder has a wood handle knob which is not cracked or chipped. Metal part does have an area of rust. About 11" long. 10" wide, and weighs around 4 pounds. Does have some spots of rust and shows some wear but turns and works as intended. Included are three'cutting blades' for various size cuts. Screw for table mounting is intact. The second is a" CLIMAX 50" also made by" L.F.C. NEW BRITAIN. CONN. U.S.A. About 9 1/2" long. 8" wide, and weighs around 3 pounds. All metal body with wood handle- not cracked or chipped. Also shows some wear and a couple rust spots. Works great. Has a different cutting(built onto the main body) mechanism than above and includes ... morethree of the'strainer' parts for different cuts(cleaned up some but surface rust remains) There is what may have been original(or later) paint on the handle. Vintage L. F. C. No 2 Universal Hand Crank Meat Grinder/Food Chopper Table Top This is a vintage cast iron hand crank table top food chopper/meat grinder. Made by L.F. C. in New Britain Conn. U.S.A. I'm not sure what year it was made. But I do remember turning the crank for my mother when I was young, 50 years ago. And I thought it looked old then. It has a few different PAT. dates. 1897, 1899& 1900. It does have some normal wear and tear. The tinned coating that keeps it from rusting is in great shape on the inside but has been worn off in spots on the outside. The handle on the crank is made of oak. I believe, and still in great shape. Everything turns freely and comes apart with ease. It would be great for a collection or to use for building muscles. If you win this item and want to use it. Make sure you put something between the ... moretop and bottom parts of the clamp and the table you are mounting it to. The clamp will leave a mark or even a indention on some surfaces. Vintage Universal No. 2 Food-Meat-Nut Chopper - 8" cast iron - VG condition
VINTAGE UNIVERSAL MEAT-NUT-FOOD GRINDER This is a vintage cast iron Universal No. 2 Food Chopper. 8 3/4" tall, 5# grinder made in the USA by L F& C in New Britain, Conn. Shows patent dates of Oct. 12, 1897 and Apr 18, 1899 and"RE Sept 5, 1899" Could be manufactured in the 19th century. It has a 9" long wooden handled crank. Has a dark patina surface and shows little sign of wear or abuse. The unit is very clean. The only issue is the clamping piece on the screw clamp is missing and has been replaced by a large nut that is attached to the screw(see image) This does not affect usage. The handle will probably be removed to facilitate shipping. This is easily re-attached with the original wing nut. Payment is expected within three days of the auction close.
