This is an old cast iron meat grinder or food chopper as it says. It is in pretty good condition. It has patents and places all over it so I photographed them so you can see. This had just a little surface rust on the inside.So I took it apart and cleaned it and treated it with mineral oil(a safe oil that you use on cutting boards) It could use some more cleaning. This weighs about 4 pounds! The crank turns easily one way, a little more difficult the other, but I am trying it not bolted down. The blade part turns easily. The bolt on the clamp part is a little bent, but does turn in and out. THIS IS REALLY HEAVY! IT BARELY FITS INTO A FLAT RATE ENVELOPE. BUT THAT IS THE ONLY AFFORDABLE WAY TO SHIP THIS. Climax 51 Food Grinder Chopper Vintage Food Meat Coffee Grinder 4 Blades
Vintage Cast Iron Climax 51 Food Grinder or Chopper. Comes with 4 blades. This grinder has seen a lot of use. It has a few rust spots but mostly just needs cleaned. One side of the wing nut that holds the blade in is broke off but it doesn't seem to effect how it holds the blade in. Side of the handle is stamped L.F. C. New Brittain. Conn. USA. The other side of the handle says made in USA. Wood handle has a nice patina from years of use. Please use the pictures as part of the description and judge for yourself.
