This piece was made by the Rollman MFG Co. in Joy.PA USA. Patent was applied for at the time- That is what APD means. There is a very nice wood handle too. This is in good condition, but it does need a really good cleaning. There is a bit of rust. This measures 9" long x 5" wide. The shipping quoted is by weight. Up for bid is an antique Alexanderwerks Grater(no. 1045) in oxblood red. This piece is from Germany and It is cast iron and and in amazing condition for it's age! From what I've read. This is probably around the early 1900's. Please make sure to see all photos! The logo features a crisp and bright colors, the wooden box is still there and in nice shape, the handle, etc. All- very nice! I'm not an expert by any means, but I believe this grater is used for nuts, cheese, etc. I would assume it could be used for meat but I'm not sure that is the original purpose. Uncommon ANTIQUE FOOD& MEAT CHOPPER/Grinder: LANDERS, FRARY& CLARK No. 2 +ALL PARTS ~Just as useful as when it was first made, this popular food and meat chopper/grinder was made by well-known, well-loved, and legendary LANDERS, FRARY& CLARK, who also call themselves UNIVERSAL, in New Britain, Connecticut. ~It dates from the 1930's, as can be seen from the wonderful decoration on the box and on parts of the actual tool. ~The MOST interesting, uncommon, and unusual feature about this set is that it all looks close to new inside. Exterior of the box has seen the passing of time and shows it. However, interestingly enough it is the original box, complete with its 1930's Art Deco style of decoration. And it STILL has the original price tag on it! Box measures 4x4x10. ~The contents inside seem to have stayed in a tme ... morewarp! They are close to pristine! Included inside are the complete 9-1/2 inch long classic grinder/chopper tool, made of a great tough mix of steel. Also the graceful crank with its clean wooden handle, the inside grinding mechanism, several different grinding attachments, and the bolts that hold it all together. One of the bolts also has Art Deco style decoration. REALLY cool is that the original manual/paperwork is still inside. ~The"FOOD& MEAT CHOPPER No. 2" made by these guys was a common tool in almost every household in the northeastern U. S. It could be-and WAS-used for everything from pate' de fois gras to the bread for the Thanksgiving turkey stuffing! RARE Antique RUSSWIN# 3 CLAMSHELL Chopper 3 Cutting Blades& Nut Butter Cutter! This is the large No 3 Chopper made by Russwin in the early 1900's. Comes with 3 blades and the Nut Butter cutter as shown in the photos. This is a"Clamshell" chopper that opens at the top and is held together by a latch on the barrel of the chopper for operation. Opens easily for cleaning. It is made of zinc-coated cast iron. This chopper is marked in raised letters"RUSSWIN NO. 3" and"RUSSELL& ERWIN MFG CO. NEW BRITAIN CONN. U.S.A" on one side of the body and"PAT. MCH.4.02" March 4. 1902) on the other side. It is also marked"PAT'D. IN CANADA AUG.27.01" on the curved handle arm. Hardwood handle. Body is 11" high without clamp, 7-1/2" wide. Condition: Very good overall. No dents. Cracks ... moreor breaks in the chopper. Operating condition, crank turns freely(do not overtighten wingnut! clamp on clamshell is tight. Small amount of surface rust on some parts, easily removed, and some tarnish. Wood handle is worn with a little looseness because the screw needs lubed and tightened. There are 3 hairline cracks in ONE blade-see last photo-probably caused by overtightening. Does not affect operation. See high resolution pics for more! Very nice antique chopper not offered often in this size. EXTREMELY RARE MEAT GRINDER by EBALOY Vintage mid-century. Large capacity. Made of heavy steel and metal alloy. Attaches to tabletop with built-in vise clamp. Which is adjustable using the swivel handle. Side is removable for quick cleaning. A metal arm locks the side piece into place. The inside of the grinder is imprinted with a"1" Functional or will make a great display piece for your vintage or retro kitchen. 10-1/2" tall from the top to the bottom of the vise. The screw and swivel handle add 4-1/2" to the length. 9-1/4" wide including the red handle. The"cup" shown in the last 2 pictures appears to be a custom add-on by a previous owner. I believe that piece belongs to a salad shooter but I could be wrong. The cup is included in this listing but. If you want to save a little on postage, you can choose ... moreto exclude it. The meat grinder looks good with it! The cup adds 3" to the width.
