Here is a beautiful victorian era antique cranberry glass cruet. The cruet is molded in a reverse panel shape similar to what was manufactured by Jefferson Glass in 1912. The cruet is cranberry glass decorated win gold enamel paint. The cruet has a crystal applied handle and has a polished pontil on the bottom of the cruet bottle. The stopper is smooth and round and crystal in color. The cruet bottle measures 7 3/4 inches tall at the top of the stopper by 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the widest point of the cruet. And this one is just amazing. Heavy blown glass to create a 7 3/4 inch tall 4 inch wide bottle. Great Pontil mark on base with lots of wear. Etching on all four sides. With the front having initials and the date 1832. Possibly a wedding date? A Ship setting sail? The stopper is a cork fitted top with a copper fitting over the cork. it has a rough area inside the top which tells me it had a stopper. Which could make it a Barber Bottle or Cologne. there is much surface wear on the bottom, it is a dark purple when held to the light. has greek design in Mary Gregory style, and there is some loss or damage to that in few places refer to photos 7& 8. stands 7" tall. and very rough Pontil scar with some indentation. I have spent many many hours through out the last 8 years trying to attach a maker to this but I just can't seem to find anything helpful.

OLD FASHION FRENCH GLASS BOTTLE CLEAR 1895 VERY NICE CONDITION NO RESERVE!
Up for bid is what looks to be an antique French glass bottle. The bottle was purchased about five years ago at a sale in New Jersey. The lady who I bought it from did not give me any background information about it. It appears to have been found in a river bottom as there is what looks like dried mud still inside. I tried to clean the bottle many times but cannot get the inside completely clean no matter what I do. The second photo is taken fron the top looking down into the bottle. It looks clean in that photo but there is still some dried dirt that looks like river setiment inside. The glass is quite a bit thicker than modern bottles and it has a cathedral on two sides. Below the French text is the year 1895 which appears on both sides as well. The top has a very rusted metal wire which I believe once held a stopper. The wire is slightly ... morebent. The bottle measures about a foot high and 3 inches at the base. It has no cracks. Or scratches that I can see. I ran my hands all over the outer surface and it feels very smooth and problem free. It has an odd one inch long rechtangular indentiation near the bottom. I assume it was somehow used when the bottle was manufacutred but I do not know exactly what it`s purpose was. Magnificent Huge Antique/Vintage Kidney Shaped Demijohn Carboy Bottle - c.1920's
Originally encased in wicker(see picture#2) Is this c. 1920's kidney shaped demijohn or carboy bottle that is massive measuring 20 1/2 inches tall, 13 1/2 inches wide, and approximately 9 to 10 inches deep. It weighs 12 pounds, 3 ounces. The piece is also marked at the lip with a"D" and"20L" which I assume means 20 liters(over 5 gallons) It is light green in color but when out in the sun. It takes on almost a rainbow of colors, and a blue hue as well. It is hand blown, and there are numerous bubbles throughout. There are no cracks, chips, etc. that I could find. I did wash with a hose, did the best I could, but there is still a little bit of gunk left on the inside bottom. I had researched this piece with some Bottle Collectors I know. And it was concluded this piece was made in about the 1920's. It does have seams ... moreon each side although not like newer seams that you can feel. They are sort of inverted, and as history shows us, these were made from anywhere from 2 to 4 parts. And there is one around the bottom so it appears this piece was made in 3 pieces. The origin could not be concluded but one Collector thought this may be French. Please note that this piece will weigh about 16 to 18 pounds shipped. Once packaged. Pair of Free Blown Molded Boston and Sandwich Glass Castor Bottle GI-14 1830s. Pair of clear ribbed blown molded castor bottle. GI-14 style, according to the McKearin classification. These bottles are ribbed on the body, with a ribbed neck. The collars have been worked by the glass blower. This was blown by Boston and Sandwich, circa 1830- 1840. No stoppers. Rough pontil marks. The bottles are 4 1/2 inches tall. The pair weighs 7 oz(shipping weight under 1 lb) Condition: One collar is very misshapen. This auction is for a lot of 40 total Vintage era and or older bottles. Various shades of green, brown clear and cobalt blue glass bottles containers ect. These all have been dug up un earthed and some are or have sediment in them not in perfect condition, have been cleaned up to the best of my capabilities, Wasn't sure how to get them completely free of debris in side but removed as much as possible as you will see in pictures. I am not sure of value of these bottles but surely there is a collector or two out there who will know right off the bat by looking at them. The weight on this package will probably be close to 27 to 28 or more pounds including box and packing materials. Which in turns tells me I had the most fun digging them up. Picture one Brown glass: First two bottles unkown no markings on glass. Next two bottles read on topside one quart, 5th bottle says Clorox on bottom, 6th jar reads Kruschew Salts(had hard time finding anything on that) 7th bottle in front says capudine on it.
