This listing is for a two piece silverplate and glass brides basket bowl. The bottom of the silver plated holder reads Meriden Silverplate Co. 0719. As seen in the pictures. This piece stands about 7 1/2" high to the top of the glass bowl portion and measures 10 1/4" across the top rim. The silverplate holder is very ornate, with the handles resembling a branch with birds resting on them. A bird pattern is also repeated just above the basefoot. The peg bottom glass bowl has a scalloped rim and a frosted flower(rose? and ribbon pattern. There are no chips, cracks or repairs. There are a few white specks in the glass that are ... moreas made. VICTORIAN BRIDES BASKET WITH BEAUTIFUL GREEN BOWL
Up for auction is a Victorian Brides Basket with a beautiful Green/White glass bowl. The silver plated holder has come un-soldered on one side. But it's not the actual handle it's the decorative piece. It does not affect the handle at all. The bowl has not cracks and the only imperfection I've found was on the inside and it looks like it might have been made that way. It measures approx 10"w x12" t. This is a very beautiful piece. A strikingly simple yet elegant turn of the century or late Victorian bride’s basket with an elaborate frame. Bowl is an early American pattern glass example similar to patterns done by the U.S. Glass Company but I have never been able to identify this pattern. Since I am not sure and I don’t want to attempt to fool anyone. If you know the pattern, email me and I will post it in the listing. In any event it is a beautiful example of early American pattern glass and a brides bowl to boot. The bowl is approximately 10 inches long. 5 inches wide and 4 inches high. Rests in a Victorian silver plate holder which is 6 ½ inches long and 5 inches wide and 12 inches tall. I will let you judge from the photos. But this piece makes a statement. The glass is almost translucent and one photo shows the colors of light that come through the glass. ... moreWould compliment any treasured Victorian or pattern glass collection. Condition is as follows: Glass: Excellent to mint condition considering the age. No chips. Cracks, dings, hairlines or flakes on the top or body. HOWEVER PLEASE NOTE: there is a large chip on one corner of the base. Due to the clear glass your eyes don’t go to it but it is there and I have tried to accurately photograph it in pictures 9 and 10. Please consider this prior to bidding as I don’t want you to have any surprises and my price reflects this issue. Silver Plate Holder: Excellent to mint condition as shown in the photographs. The frame is signed Wilcox Silverplate as shown in the photos. It is also numbered 4445. Oddly there is a fork hanger on one side so I have often wondered if this could double as an open pickle castor. The only flaw I can discern is that the handle slightly leans and is not a straight 90 degree angle. It is important to note that I do believe these pieces were manufactured as a set. This has an openwork scrolled frame with leaves that gracefully vine in a basket shape. Three ball feet and a solid handle with engraved floral design. The bowl is 10" long by 5 1/2" wide and 4 1/2 high, this is 1/2" thick, it is lead crystal, the bowl rings when tapped, there are tiny bubbles in the glass consistent with the age, it has a slightly blue-green tint. The bowl has a deep saw tooth edge, ribbed sides and a starburst in the bottom. The edge has a sharp, clean cut. Overall the piece is 9" tall, 10 1/2" long by 7" wide. Up for your consideration is a stunning Blue Ruffled Satin Glass Brides Basket with a center post base. The satin glass bowl is a gorgeous light blue with ruffled edges. As the glass curves towards the center of the bowl. There is a beautiful iridescent pink gradient tone to the glass. The bowl has no chips, scratches or cracks. The brass toned base has E.P.N.S. stamped into it. The nut that secures the bolt holding the bowl to the base is gone. But the bolt is steady enough to display safely. It shouldn't be hard to find a bolt to fit at any hardware store. The bowl with the base measures 5 1/2" tall. The bowl alone measures about 9" from side to side. And is about 2 1/2" deep. This beautiful Hand Blown Vintage/Antique? Brides Basket is wonderful. The Silverplate Basket is by James W. Tufts. Boston, Warranted Quadrupleplate with a Floral Top Pattern and Twisted Handle. The Flower pattern on the top is followed thru on the feet of the basket. The Glass Basket itself is hand blown and has a nice smooth ground pontil. Crimped edge was probably hand crimped. The Glass bowl is a Cherry color on top with a Flower and leaf design and white underside. Stands about 10" tall and the Glass Bowl is 10" in diameter at it's widest. Please note the two pictures of the edge. There is what I think is a place where maybe a bubble type thing burst when blowing or crimping. It is NOT a crack and does NOT go all the wya thru. Difficult to see as it is near the edge where the edge sections are clear or without color neither ... morewhite nor cherry. I do not know the maker of the glass bowl and not too good with these types of things just what I like. There are no other marks, no chips. A very nice old piece.

We are pleased to present this Victorian era Bride's Basket for your consideration. Made of Silverplate. The piece features an unusual Crowned Heads decoration around its ornate rim. The handle that once went over the top of this ... morepiece is missing(the holes where it connected are still visible) But the remaining Fruit Basket remains a charming and attention grabbing piece with a one-of-a-kind look. The Basket is 3-3/4 inches high and about 12-1/2 inches in diameter. Measured at the rim. The bottom of the base is 4-5/8 inches in diameter, and the Basket weighs 1 pound 13 ounces. There are two hand written marks etched into the finish. On the bottom, in the center, is what appears to be the numbers 247. To the side of the center section is another marking that reads Q5741. We have not been able to determine the manufacturer of this piece. The Basket has been polished and is quite shiny. But small areas of patina remain along with a few small spots of verdigris. Some light surface wear is found, but less than might be expected on a piece of this age. Other than the missing handle, there is no damage or repairs, and we rate the overall condition as very good(see pictures) This is a fantastic piece of Victorian Silverplate. Beautiful Vintage Silverplate Brides Basket W/ Pink Bowl!!!!
Here is a Vintage Brides Basket W/Bowl. The basket is Quadruple Plate and is 1543 Special Metal. The Bowl is a pink color with white dots for a design. I could not find a maker on the bowl or basket. The bowl is in great condition no chip's or crack's does have some scratches and wear on the design display's very well. The basket is tarnished has a bend to it. Normal wear and has scratches. I have no idea if these 2 go together but they look very good together and display very well. The bowl measure's 3" deep and is 7 1/2" across. The basket with handle up is about 8 1/2" high and the inside part where the bowl goes is 8 1/8" across. This is a gorgeous Victorian era brides basket bowl. When you first look at this bowl the colors look like yellow and brown. However. Under a brighter light one can see the true dark purple highlights on this bright yellow background. The outside of this bowl is a brilliant white glass. The ruffled edge adds to the beauty of this piece. The condition is excellent. There aren't any chips, cracks, breaks or repairs noted. As with glass from this era, there are a few very minute black specks on the inside of the piece, near the bottom of the bowl. I attempted to show these in the photos. On auction is a brides basket or bowl holder. I purchased this in the 1990's to hold one of my brides bowl. Well. I packed it away and now I don't want to polish anything. I have not polished this item. I was told it was silver plate. No clue. I can not find any markings. It is 12" tall to top of finial and 10 1/2" wide at widest point. Shaded Blue Opaline Opalescent Enameled Victorian Blown Glass Brides Bowl Basket
This is a lovely piece of Victorian art glass. I believe it is a bride's bowl or the insert to a small bride's basket. It is in opaline or opalescent glass that is mostly opaque white in the center. But then shades to a very blue and transparent edge treatment. The inside of this bowl has a lot of the blue especially out close to the pure blue edge, but the outside or bottom is mostly just pure white until you reach the transparent blue edge. It is hand decorated in an enameled floral design and has an image of a walking couple in the very center. That image has suffered a lot of wear and is a little faint, but you can still make out the very old attire of the man. His clothing actually looks older that Victorian. It looks more like Colonial American era, so this piece was probably made in the late 19th century and was designed to ... morework on their romantic nostalgia for earlier times. The bowl measures about 6" across and is about 2 3/4" high. It is a blown piece of glass, and has a pontil on bottom. It has a stepped foot with straight sides, and I think was meant to fit down into the silver-plate ring of a Basket. i wish I had the metal part too, but the glass insert is all I have. It is in excellent condition. I picked up several pieces of nice Victorian art glass lately from the home of a dealer. I am selling them in other auctions. You should look at them too.

ANTIQUE VERY RARE 1800'S FIGURAL BRIDES BOWL BASKET
This gorgeous quadruple silver plated figural stand was made by the Toronto Silver Plate Company between 1882 and 1913. It is marked"537" The hand blown Bride's Bowl has raised hand painted flowers on clear to cranberry glass. The figures are a gentleman bowing to his lady. Who is doing a curtsey. They have subtle gold accents. The silver stand is about 8" tall. The bowl is about 8.5" wide at the widest point. Overall, it's about 12.5" tall. The bowl has no chips or cracks that I can see. The silver stand has some minor pitting under the bowl, see photos. Some of the bolts holding the figures to the stand have been replaced and tightened. This beautiful antique is in remarkable cindition, considering it's age! It will make a wonderful addition to any collection.

This Bowl is a white cased satin glass and the color inside the bowl gradates from pink to deep pink(almost red) and ends with the frosted ribbon ... moreedge. The pedestal base is silver(not sterling) The only mark on the base is EPNS(electro-plated nickel silver) The pedestal is hollow and it was made with a screw threaded knob on the bottom so that you can remove it from the pedestal. The bowl measures 5 3/4" high and 7 1/2" in diameter. The Bowl is in Excellent Condition with no chips, cracks or flakes. The pedestal needs a bit of polish if you prefer it to be bright and silvery. Here is a Beautiful Vintage Brides Basket Bowl in a Pink and Yellow color. I could not find a maker or pattern on this. It is in great condition no crack's does have a piece with a pin size hole in it on one of the little decorative like knobs or bubbles I have showed it on one of the picture's has a few scratches display's very well. Measure's 3 3/8" deep and is 11 5/8" across. I'm no expert on this but will answer any questions the best I can.Sold as is. So please ask questions before bidding,everyone words things differently. This auction is for a lovely Kate Greenaway Figural Brides Basket with a Hobbs Brockunier Cranberry Satin Snow Storm Bowl. The Cranberry Bowl has white spatter. Oblong bowl, with a clear ribbon top on the ruffled rim with a satin finish and a ground and polished pontil, c.1880's. While Harry Northwood was working for Hobbs, Brockunier& Glass Co. he brought the technology and manufacturing expertise for many art glass bowls Hobbs produced. He probably incorporated this in to his Martin's Ferry operation. The bowl appears to me that it could be a product of either operation. The bowl is about 4`1/2" tall ~ 11-1/4" long, and 7-3/4" wide. The base is about 4" wide and 5" deep The sliver plate holder has a leaf and fruit design with the Kate Greenaway little girl sitting in the branches. The sliver plating ... moreappears to be in good condition but could use a good cleaning(I'm leaving that up to its new owner) It has the Hartford Silverplate Mfg Co. The outside has the rich blue satin glass. With a multi colored enameled leaf decoration. The cased glass edge is clear and has a wonderful double ruffle that makes the round bowl appear square. This piece is in very fine condtion.It does have one corner that has a chip. There is also a firing bubble on the inside towards the bottom on the side(see pictures) We have not yet found a signiture but believe it may be attributed to Thomas Webb. The piece is in very good condition with only normal wear for a 19th century piece. There is a hand polished pontil mark on the bottom. That showcases the cased glass. The glass insert is in good condition with no visible cracks or chips and no staining of the glass. The shape of the bowl is unusual in that there are four indentions on the sides for the silver plate grape cluster to fit into. The bowl is original to the holder and measures about 8 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall. The insert stands 6 inches tall to the top of the grape cluster on the rim and 7 inches wide. The total height is 7 inches while the bowl is resting on the stand. No monograms or repairs Silver plate shows ware as shown in the pictures. ELLIS BARKER SILVER OVER COPPER BRIDES BASKET CAKE TRAY OR CENTERPIECE BOWL Search Up for auction is centerpiece basket by Ellis Barker in silver over copper as shown. The basket stands 10 inches tall at the top of the handle and 4 inches tall to the rim and 9.75 inches wide measuring across the rim. The basket is designed in a ripple or ribbon effect in the center giving depth to the design. The high portions of the design show slight copper giving it a beautiful finish while the center of the basket has more of the copper exposed. Just a fantastic basket and very heavy by Ellis Barker from early 1900's. insurance is included in the cost of shipping. The height of the frame is almost 12" tall and the base has four feet. The silver is in great condition could use a good cleaning but I leave that up to the new owner. Antique brides basket peachblow bowl by Stevens & Williams Victorian
This is a beautiful brides basket with an ornate quad plate frame by Wilcox Silver Plate Company. The frame is 8 ¾ inches tall and 9 ½ inches wide. The bowl was made by Stevens& Williams and is peachblow. The bowl is hand blown. Is 8 ¾ inches in diameter and 2 ½ inches high. It has an amber border. This set dates to the late 19 th century. The bowl is in excellent condition with no damage. The frame has no damage but it has lost some much of its silver as is common with quadruple plate.
