This bottle wreaks old with pitting throughout and lumpy glass with its off shape. It was blown i n mold ous bottle stands 12" tall. It has no damages. It has a Sloppy drippy applied ringed lip with nice hand tooling marks. Base is smooth with some sort of a tooling mark on it. Here for your consideration we have an antique bottle from the 1880s. It has NO chips or cracks. The embossing reads as follows: HAMILTON'S OLD ENGLISH BLACK OIL" This is a beautiful 8 sided bottle with some really nice bubbles pretty much all over it. The embossing is large and clean. It has a hand tooled lip and a smooth base. It measures 6 3/4" tall by 1 3/4" wide. I see no damage to declare to you on this one. The inside has an area that is slightly discolored by a stain. I am calling it excellent+ in condition. There may also be a small scratch i did not see as there is rarely a 100% perfect bottle. This one is about as close as they get. I dug this myself and it cleaned up very well. It has a really nice deep aqua color to it. Please feel free to ask any question you may have. But I believe this to be an early 19th century liquor bottle free blown(only other choice is turn mold blown due to no seams) only by the skill of the maker The symmetry is off balance near the neck. There are no seams, and on the bottom there appears to be what I believe is an intense pontil remnant This bottle has minor scratches on the exterior. But the condition as is as seen in the photos- there are 2 minor chips on the lip as see in one of the pictures This bottle is unique. Offered for auction is an Antique Dutch Genever(Gin) Bottle By John DeKuyper& Son. Rotterdam. This is a very old Case Gin Bottle from the Netherlands. It is made of Black Glass. Actually Dark Olive Green. And is a Four Sided Square Face bottle with an applied lip. Not sure of the exact date but it has the Heart Label that. Has been used since 1893. It is in very good condition. Especially for as old as it is with just two small chips on the lip. We hope all of the photos we have provided are helpful for you. The Bottle Measures: 10&1/4" Tall by 3&1/4" At The Shoulders with a 2&7/8" Square Base. Speaking of the Base. It has an embossed S inside a letter D trademark and also a number 8 on one side near the bottom. The bottle holds forty-eight ounces of liquid and does not leak even one drop. 18th Century Black Glass Dutch Onion style bottle, 1700s, antique, collectable
Dutch onion bottle circa 1700-1730 in good condition. It measures approximately 6" wide by 6 3/4" tall. The bottle has a nice broken off pontil and applied rim. It has normal wear and light scratches from being buried in the dirt. There is one kind of white mark on it that won't come off. But does not take away from how great of an item this is(you can see it in a couple of pictures) Let me know if you have any other questions or need different pictures. Up for bid is the vintage/antique"BLACK GLASS" BOTTLE. As seen in the pictures/ as described in the title. Excellent condition with NO major defects whatsoever. Very thick, heavy glass that is almost jet black. The last two pictures show the bottle with a 100 watt ultra bright lightbulb directly behind it, letting nearly zero light thru(but just enough to show that it is actually extremely dark brown glass) Some haze, minor surface scratches and a few small flea bites to lip rim. Slightly uneven base, giving it an approx. 1/2" lean(see 3rd pic) NO cracks, chips, breaks or repairs. Features an usually deep kick-up, base with a crude& rough pontil scar. Also features a double tapered, sloping rip/lip(sometimes refered to as a Flying Saucer style) Very crude and unique. No maker's mark(s) or embossings. I would bet it ... moreis/was American made and my best guess as to age would be the late 18th or 19th century(most likely early to mid-1800's) Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. 18th Century Black Glass Dutch Porter style bottle, 1700s, antique, collectable
Great bottle! It's is a beautiful dark olive color. Free blown with hand applied lip and nice open pontil. The bottle is clean with no cracks or chips. The bottle measures approximately 4 inches wide and 10 1/2 inches tall. It has some scratching. More heavily on one side, but normal for being buried in the sand. This is for a stylish antique round glass perfume bottle with its original silver and niello rim and lid. The hinged lid is decorated all over with the inset black enamel and the top of the lid has an empty cartouche for engraving. It has its glass stopper inside and the silver is marked'800' along with a makers mark. It is in absolute excellent condition with no damage to the glass or the silver. There is no damage to the hinge and the lid sits nice and tight to the base. It measures 45mm(1.75" across and stands 55mm(2.25" tall. LARGE-BLACK GLASS-IRON PONTIL- RUM OR WINE BOTTLE! PRE-CIVIL-WAR ANTIQUE BOTTLE
This is a great example of a very early. Black glass wine bottle. It has crude flaws all over the bottle but is well made and heavy-duty especially near the base. The bottle is an attractive medium green color and it stands tall at 11 3/4" and 3 5/8" wide at base. It has a finished sheared top with an applied straight collar ring and a huge iron pontil inside the kick-up base. The bottle has a little use and shelf wear on the base, but is made of quality glass so not much ground stain. This bottle dates from the early 1850's and still shows the iron on the pontil. Antique Mary Gregory Bottle Decanter w/ Stopper Black Amethyst Glass Ghostly Boy Fishing Figure This beautiful bottle decanter is hand blown from what you would think is jet black glass but if you hold it to the light you will see that it is a very dark purple/amethyst colored glass. This glass is much thinner than some of the Bohemian copies of the period. The tapering baluster shape on a large base gives the maximum area for the circle of hand applied small white enamel dots. The white enameled Mary Gregory Ghostly scene is a boy fishing with a caught fish. There is gold gilt trim on the top and neck of the stopper. Gilt is also around the top of the decanter and the base. The gilt trim is worn some. The bottle measures 12” tall with stopper in place and 8-1/2” without the stopper. The base is 2-7/8” The base is in very good condition with ... moreno chips or cracks.
