Antique Purple Glass Lightning Rod Ball / Moon and Star / Goshen Co.
Being offered is one antique glass lightning rod ball made by the Goshen Lightning Rod Company dating back to the early 1900's. It is amethyst in color with a moon and star pattern and measures approximately 4 1/4 inches across and 5 inches end to end from the collars(openings measure 7/8" inside diameter) There is some light chipping and rough edges on the collars which is quite common on antique lightning balls. Black scorching is visible but overall in great condition for its age. Amethyst in the moon and star pattern is hard to come by. Here is an opportunity to acquire one. OLD square shouldered apothecary jar with Dakota pattern around neck Jar measures 9-5/8 inches tall and about 4-5/8 inches square on the base. This jar has a faint purplish color. The lid does not have the same purple color. However it does have the thumprint design. I would venture to guess that the lid is not original, but it does fit perfectly and is has the ground glass base. The lid has a a couple of very tiny rim chips or scrapes. But no major condition problems. The jar itself has a ground glass mouth interior. As far as condition, there are several rim chips around the outside edge of the neck. I've taken lots of pictures so you can see for yourself. There is also a defect on one of the square shoulders. can't tell if this is a manufacturing flaw or an OLD chip. it doesn't really look like a chip, although there is glass ... morethat is simply missing in that area. It is smooth around the right and lower three-quarters of that defect, with a small roughness at the upper left quarter. Whatever it is, it is old and solid and not causing any additional damage in the future. Overall in spite of the tiny flaws. This seems to be a very nice piece. Antique Purple Hobnail Glass Bowl With Gold Trim
This glass bowl was given to me by my 75 year old friend to sell. It belonged to her mother. It measures about 12 inches across and 2 inches tall. It has a gold trim around the edge of the bowl that radiates towards the center. There is a gold flower in the middle that appears worn. There are bumps all on the underneath side of the bowl. There are a couple of small bubbles near the flower in the middle. It is a light purple color.

Albion Antiek Antique Bell Jar Lantern 19th. Century Purple Glass Lamp- Rare Color This listing is for a beautiful original antique early 19th century glass bell jar lantern lamp. This lantern comes with its smoke shield and is a beautiful very dark purple amethyst color(the lid is lighter in color but I do believe it is the original smoke shield for this lantern) It retains its original brass fittings and chain. The shield measures 10-3/8" across and the bell jar measures 9-5/8" high and 8-1/2" across. Condition is good. There are manufacturing flaws and irregularities in the glass(air bubbles and lines and folds in the glass on the lid. These are not cracks or damages but happened in the making) The glass has a few air bubbles that were broken through on the surface but there are no chips or cracks and no repairs. There is ... morejust the usual chipping along the opening hole in the lid where the chain comes through(that is normal for this type of lamp) One of the peacock heads has lost its little clip that folds over the bell jar edge(see pictures) but that does not compromise the stability or ability to safely hang this lamp. This lamp has not been converted for electricity and is in good original antique condition(even the glass is covered in age dirt, but I will leave the cleaning to the new owner in case they like the aged look) Please excuse any glares(white patches) that you may see in the pictures. Up for bids on this page is a very. Very, very close to mint condition Whitall Tataum No.1 CD154 gorgeous purple insulator. Has a#24 mold number on the rear skirt below made in USA. All I see is what I wouldn't call flea bites on top of the right side of the dome. I'd call them more like lice bites. Maybe this is the way the insulator was made, maybe not. RARE ANTIQUE TIN and GLASS BULLS-EYE LANTERN with LIGHT PURPLE COLOR If you are an antique bulls eye glass lover then you will like this lantern from Maine. Circa: 1840's- 1860. It measures about 11 inches high and from the widest part of the glass globe to the other about 5 inches across. It was converted a very long time ago making it possible for it to be used today electrically. There is an opening through the top finial that a wire can feed through to an existing socket under the crown. The thick glass bulls eye globe has a very slight purple color. The glass appears to be blown and has an occasional small bubble here and there. Globe top without base weighs 3 1/2 lbs. The base of the globe is uneven& set into the paste. The peaked tin flue/top is banded with a nicely New England punched star and diamond pattern called“Diamonds& ... moreStars” There are no hairline cracks on glass globe. Great shape! The tin. Ribbed and punched clover leaf design on the base cup attaches by two small posts to the bottom of the lantern. It has corroded on one side and is fragile but possibly it could be restored or even copied by a tinsmith if this were to be desired. It would have been used to set a candle on to burn and reflect light through the“bulls eyes” Used without the bottom electrically will cast more light from the lantern that is useful to us these days. This auction is for a Large antique slag glass lamp shade with rare claim shape cut glass. this lamp has a flower filigree overlay. This shade was the shade found on a Handel lamp. This lamp was identified in The Handel Lamp book by Goldman. Hibel, amp;amp;amp; Fontaine, pg 51. This shade has no makers marks. I sold the base seperate now I am selling the shade. This beautiful lamp shade has 16 curved purple slag glass panels. The frame is solid. The panels have no chips or cracks. The elaborate metal frame is exquisitely detailed. You are bidding on a hard to find Coolidge Victor xray tube. This peice of scientific history is in great shape. One end has a light socket type screw in. The other end has a black round piece screwed in to it. It is about 18" in total length and just over 4" in width. It is marked on the purple tinted ball part: 30 MA then under that a Coolidge Victor tube logo then the number 75538 marked under that. Unintentional exposure to sunlight over the years has turned this a light shade of amethyst purple from the original clear. There are quite a few chips. Nicks, gouges and scratches to the top edges and the edges of the feet as shown in the photos. There are no cracks and no repairs have been done. As is typical with glass from this time period there are some imperfections in the glass from the manufacturing process. This particular pattern is referred to as Octagon by collectors due to the 8 sides. This is made from a thick molded or pressed glass with 4 feet and the bottom and sides have a crosshatch or waffle pattern.
