This is an 11 inch tall Mary Gregory style vase depicting a couple kissing. It was an estate find. So we have no background on it. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. It has the cutest painting of a little girl combing the beach for seashells. She holds a seashell in one hand and a pail in the other. There is a sailboat. Vegetation, rocks, waves, clouds, and birds. On the back side there is a seagull, shells, vegetation, and clouds. The cranberry color of this vase is such a nice deep rich cranberry that it almost looks like it is ruby. I probably shouldn’t have taken the pictures outside since it created a lot of reflection and glare. But I really don’t have the best lighting in my home for pictures. Mary Gregory Victorian Green Glass Child Enamel Decoration Antique 1880 Original This is a beautiful original antique vase. Possibly used for spills- for lighting fireplaces, or flowers. The vase is Victorian c1870-1880 and are quite possibly Czech in origin. It is an example of what is known as"Mary Gregory" glass- colored glass with white enamel work depicting images of children. It measures 6.5 inches tall and has a pontil mark to the base. Condition is good with no cracks or breakages but you will see there is one large nibble to the rim and various tiny knocks. We know that Mary Gregory was an American woman who lived from 1856-1908 and from about 1885 she and her sister worked for the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company'till the late 1880's. Even if they had both worked everyday of their lives and were still alive now they could not have produced ... moreall the work bearing the'Mary Gregory' name! We can all recognize Mary Gregory glass. The painted and enameled decoration consists of children and very rarely babies in silhouette, typically Victorian and quite similar to the illustrations by Britain's Kate Greenaway. These children could be flying kites, bowling hoops, blowing bubbles or simply playing, usually surrounded by grass, foliage or fern. They are dressed in typical Victorian'Sunday Best' clothes, usually knickerbockers, sailor suits or crinolines. These figures are usually found on a variety of colored glass. The values are affected by the color of the glass, which I shall list from the least valuable upwards, clear, clear with amethyst, dark green, light green, amber, light blue, turquoise, cobalt blue, ruby and finally cranberry. Some examples can be found w the children's faces have flesh colored tints. Wonderful Mary Gregory Design Vase This vase definately has a Mary Gregory look however I have not found a mark on it. This vase is amber colored has a white painted scene on the sides. The primarily figure on the side of this vase is a woman who looks as if she is European or a Southern Belle. This womans hair is pulled up on the top of her head with banana style curls on the side, she has what appears to be two large plums on the top of her head. Her dress is really full and the top straps of her dress are pulled down on her arms making her upper body look extremely full. In one hand she is carrying a very small umbrella in comparison to her size and with her other hand she is pointing at a dog. This dog resembles a grayhound and looks to be very thin, large grass can be seen underneath the trees that have painted leaves. Selling this early Mary Gregory huge cranberry vase that has a lovely painted scene of boy and girl touching under a tree which this is done in white. This is a bulbous type vase. Measures 12" high x 19 1/2" around the vase. This narrows down to a smaller neck on the vase where the top is encased with a scalloped(looks like copper) ring. This is one of the biggest Mary Gregory vases we have ever seen and would make a wonderful display piece. On the back side there is a large U shaped crack which does go all the way through. Antique Art Noveau Art Glass Vase Webb Mary Gregory 1890-1900
This is a beautiful Art Nouveau glass vase from around 1890-1900. It is a nice size measuring 11" t all. The vase has a wonderful glass enamel portrait of a young girl surrounded by cranberry color and Art Nouveau tendrils that are gold leaf. It seems very similar to Mary Gregory. But the color looks similar to something Webb may have done. It is of a medium weight and was most likely blown and then enameled. It is more striking in person than it is in the photographs. It has a little bit of wear here and there, but no chips or cracks. A great centerpiece and a nice addition to any collection of Art Nouveau or Victorian art glass. The top and bottom rim are a cranberry color and the middle is a frosted very light green. Good luck and have fun bidding!

Aqua Mary Gregory Cameo Glass Vase
Mary Gregory worked for the Boston and Sandwich glass factory from 1880 to 1884 decorating Gone with the Wind style lamps. But she is best known for her white enameled often with images of children. On this vase she depicts a boy looking up holding flowers in his hand with a tree off to the right side. The vase itself is in the shape of a column with fluting on the inside. It is very light which leads one to think that it has been mouth blown into a mold rather than being machine molded. There are some visible imperfections in the glass but when looking at the piece as a whole this is not overtly apparent. The vase stands 10inches tall. This is a Vintage Mary Gregory Vase in excellent condition. I'm not sure the age of it. As it was my Aunt's. However, I do know that she inherited it from one of her relatives. This beautiful vase has no chips or cracks and measures ~ 8" tall by ~ 4 1/2" across at the top. There are two very light scratches on the back side, which I barely noticed and was unable to have show up in a photo. I think this is Bristol glass but I'm not certain. Antique Bohemian Glass Mary Gregory Hand Painted Enamel Vase 12 1/2" Excellent!
This auction is for a beautiful antique Bohemian/ Mary Gregory vase. Ca late 1800- early 1900. Emerald green color. The enamel motif is skillfully painted in several delicate layers creating nice details and depth. The motif depicts a woman in a 19th century dress watching birds flying. Trees and ground foliage on each side. Gold trim on rim. Although the vase appears to have a cylinder shape on the pictures. It is in reality larger at the base, like a cone shape. The vase is slightly paneled inside(I counted 8 panels) Dimensions: 12 1/2" tall- 4" diameter at base- 3 1/8" diameter at top. The vase was probably hardly used and it is in excellent condition. Clean inside and outside. No cracks. Chips or stains. The enameled motif is excellent with no paint missing. There are two very small spots on top rim where the gold is a ... morebit faded. There are some small bubbles in the glass that are original to the making(visible on close inspection when the vase is held towards the light) The package will be shipped with insurance. Up for auction is this gorgeous Mary Gregory amethyst glass vase. With it's whimsical detailed painting of a child. the true staple of Mary Gregory glass. Shows light signs of wear due to age, but is in good condition. There is some light flaking to glass along rim or mouth of opening(please refer to photos) as is some light fading to gold gild ribbon near atop near opening.
