Danish Mid Century Lane Princess Cedar Chest
Here is a rare opportunity! This awesome. Vintage, Princess chest by Lane is in great shape. I have not seen the aluminum corner trim used before. It really adds a nice touch. The cedar interior is clean and ready for use. Unfortunately, I do not have the key. The tapered legs are nice and sturdy. The mahogany(walnut? finish is beautiful and has a depth to it that makes it glow. There is a tiny spot on the top that is almost insignificant but I wanted to show it.see photo. Small chest of custom made drawers form Elgin. Illinois, mid century, from Chestnut Wood. Purchased in the late 1950's from a cabinet-furniture enthusiast that custom built furniture with drawers. This piece has four drawers each drawer under 2" in depth. Many of his pieces have been stamped with his initials. I have several more of these custom built pieces available from the same estate. I would like to add that the drawers still slide out and in with barely any friction, a dream for those of us that have struggled with aged pieces that do not slide properly with age. It might be a medicine cabinet or a jewelry cabinet or maybe even a silverware cabinet. It measures 15" wide x 12" deep x 10" tall. It has 3 slide out drawers. The top 2 drawers measure 1 7/8" deep and the bottom one measures 2 5/8" deep. There are no dividers in any drawer. There is a cigarette burn to the top far right and 3 circular dents to the face of 2 of the drawers. I believe this is blonde maple wood but am not certain. It is not heavy like oak wood would be.

Vtg 60s Mid Century Modern Nice Walnut Wood Lane Cedar Blanket Storage Chest
This is a beautiful vintage Lane cedar chest from 1965. This chest isn't typical of Lane designs. It has a very sleek mid century modern look. The chest is walnut wood lined with cedar. It has a storage tray on the inside for smaller items. The chest measures 20-1/4" tall, 53-1/4" long and it is 17-5/8" deep. It is in excellent condition with no damage. On close inspection it shows a few scratches and there is a ding on the back right corner, nothing outstanding though. This chest comes from a smoke-free and pet-free home. It is clean and ready to use. Per the Consumer Product Safety Commission(CPSC) Full size chests manufactured between 1912-1987 need to have their locks replaced or removed due to the fact that the original locks automatically latch shut when closed and children can become entrapped. Boy do I have a cool chest of drawers.these drawer pulls are not the right ones and they left the original holes as well and the top is buggered up with a couple of cigarette burns other that THAT boy this is the coolest chest around. I am beginning the bids at on 40 bucks and would expect to get more however the buy it now price is only 90 bucks.
