2 Antique Large Metal Barn Door Strap Hinges 27" long
Up for auction is a pair of large authentic vintage barn door hinges. They are heavy duty off set strap style with a decorative heart or acorn at one end. These hinges were purchased approximately 35 years ago in Oregon City. Oregon From a developer who had purchased what was then rural farm land. The old barns and buildings had been taken down and he was selling items recovered before deconstruction. I don't know exactly how old these are but I can tell you that the buildings had been there decades before they were taken down in the early 1980's. They have been sand blasted. Primed, and painted flat black with high quality enamel. They work superbly and are ready to be installed. The burrs around the hinge area were left for character. The strap is 24" long and with the hinge approximately 27 and 1/4" in total length and ... moreeach hinge weighs 4.7 pounds. This old set of barn door rollers are 11 3/4 inches long. The raised or embossed letters stand out and are very readable. Both rollers turn freely. The only thing I see wrong. Is on one, the curved finger that is around 1 inch below the roller, that goes under the barn door track, has a fracture and this allowed it to bend over toward the right. You can see this in the picture of the back side. It is the roller on the right side.

Up for auction is 2 pair of antique barn door hanger brackets. The first pair are horse shoe shaped with wheels that roll from side to side. One of these wheels has a small piece broken out and one side of the other horse shoe is pitted as shown on both items. I could not find any markings on these. The second pair are Reliable#2, made by the Allith Mfg. Co. with a patent date of 1901& 1903. Both of these are bent as shown. I started to bead blast these hangers but my compressor motor pooped out and didn't get all of them cleaned. All four of them came off the same door so I suppose they were used together somehow. These 2 ornate barn door guides are 15 1/2 inches long and have a 5 inch wheel on them. They are heavy cast iron. The 5 inch wheel and the 1 inch roller both turn freely. It looks like the patent dates are 1878 to 1880. As you can see. The one wheel does have a piece broke out of it. A good welder could fix this fairly easy. A good cleaning and paint and they would really look sharp.

A pair of Louden Machy[short for machinery] Co. barn door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/8" wheels turn freely. The door straps are for a door 1 1/2" thick. They come with eight 2" bolts and square nuts. The 6' Louden brand track pc Is good and straight with all of the original wall brackets there and well connected. The rollers. Straps, bolts and track pc are all in very good working condition. I did carefully strip and clean the rollers. The topcoat of paint is all handpainted to give them a"nice look" If someone would want like another 4' pc of detailed matching track that could be arranged for $60. more. Vintage Mill Doors
These doors came from a mill building in Clinton MA. In one of the buildings originally built for the Bigelow Carpet Company. They led into the boiler room from the outside where a train car would come through unloading coal/fuel from the furnaces which heated a few different buildings. They are huge! I am thinking of stripping the paint and refinishing them, either selling them as doors or turning them into tables or something, but if someone is interested I am very busy and would be willing to part with them unfinished. They have huge iron braces linked to the hinges and are very heavy! They are 12 feet tall by 6 feet wide each and are about 3 inches thick at the thickest part. ~ 2 VINTAGE NOS BARN DOOR ROLLERS / HANGERS ~ OLD UNUSED FARM SHED HARDWARE
Offered is a pair of identical steel barn door rolling hangers. These are generally used to hang sliding doors on barns and sheds. They are capable of carrying large doors and. When properly mounted, are easily operated. These are never-used old stock hardware. They are unmarked so I cannot ID or date them. They likely date to the second half of the 20th century. Please observe that these hangers have wheels with convex surfaces, and are not slotted like some. Each hanger is about 8-1/2 inches tall and 7 inches wide across the wheels. The bolt part is about 4 by 5 inches. Each roller wheel is about 2-3/4 inches in diameter and about 5/16 inch thick at the outer convex rim. They are mounted on on about 4-1/2 inch centers. Additionally the hanger is made so the door can swing outwards a few degrees if needed. Each weighs about 2-3/4 pounds. ... moreThere is some paint loss and those areas have very light rust. More so on the backside of one hanger. All the wheels turn smoothly and the other moving parts are in as-new condition. All I did was wipe them off. It has Old Gray Weathered Wood on one side, and Beautiful Red Paint with Great Patina on the other. This is Original Paint. It has not been touched up. This Door is over 100 years old, and does have it's flaws. There is a board on the Gray side that has a crack on the edge of the board. A matching pair of louden roll easy barn door rollers that have no chips or cracks and the 3 1/4" wheels turn freely. These rollers were just removed from an Amish farmers barn door just last week. And the door did roll nice and smooth when I moved it[ trying it out] The wheels do have a good amount of"play" to them but they still have a good amount of"use" left in them. These rollers are in working condition. They come with 4 good working bolts and square nuts. The door hanger brackets are for a door 1 3/4" thick. PAIR of Antique Blacksmith hand forged wrought iron straps and matching hinges. Discovered in a horse carriage barn in Duxbury. Mass. Straps are 19" inches long. 1 1/2" inch wide at the widest area and the round tips are 1 1/4" across. Matching hinges are 9" inches long and 1 1/2" inch wide with a 1 1/2" long bolt that slides into the female end of straps. Straps and hinges are a 1/4 of an inch thick of forged iron.
