They have been painted white and may have more than one coat of paint on them. Also have some dirt and signs or corrosion on them. They have an"S" stamped on the back side of them. That may indicate the brand name. The writing on the front side is RELIABLE HANGER 1 PAT'D OCT 29 1901. One of the hangers looks to be a bit twisted or bent sideways a bit. These are very unique in their design as compared to most that I've had over the years. They are exceptionally long from where the wheels ride the track down to where the brackets get mounted to the door itself. They are very decorative with the five hole pattern and the bordered lip or edging which totally follows around the mounting frame. All five holes are countersunk so that your mounting bolt or machine screw will draw up flush.NICE. There's not a mark. Chip, or repair to be found in either bracket. The Alric 4" diameter wheels rotate very freely. The wheel is 7/8" wide with the inside rounded portion at 1/2" wide. Top of the wheel to the bottom of the frame ... moreis 12-1/8" The wheel is 4" across. Well made with a 3/4" tapered front rib for added strength. About 2-1/2" thick at the wheel. Antique Barn Door Roller Richards Wilcox Cast Iron
This item is an antique Richards Wilcox 542C cast iron barn door roller. The name and numbers on the roller are still legible. The small roller still spins. Although the bigger roller is froze up probably due to the rust. This piece has been sitting unused in a barn for many years. The roller could be brought back to life with some TLC and used again. There are no cracks or breaks in the cast iron from what I can tell. This roller is ready to be re purposed. There is an impressed mark on the back of the piece that I can't quite make out.maybe the letter N in fancy script followed by the number 6. Or when you turn the piece over it looks like the number 9 with a design after it. This old roller weighs just over 3lbs before packaging. This back bar piece of this roller measures 10 1/4” from side to side. Is 1 1/4” tall at each end, and is 3” tall in the center. It has 3 pre-drilled holes for mounting which ... morewill accommodate 3/8” screws. The front flat bar measures 8” across from side to side and is also 1 1/4” tall. The pulley wheel measures 5 1/2” across from edge to edge, is 13/16” wide, and will accommodate a 1/2” rope for a perfect fit. This old piece is in very good condition with most of its original orange paint. There are some worn areas where you can see the black cast iron. The wheel turns freely and smoothly. There is a small piece of left-over cast iron on the side of the middle hump– just a minor flaw which causes no problems. 6' Length of Antique Iron Barn Door Roller Track / Late 1800's
This is an exceptional 6' length of Barn Door Roller Track. I think most rollers would work nicely with it. But it was being used with the old Myers Stay-On Rollers from 1888. I had more track than I did sets of rollers so this is track only. It has very little rust. Pretty clean with some minor pitting. The track is 1 1/4" top to bottom. It is 3/16" thick. It projects out from the wall 1 3/4" with 5 mounting brackets. Each attached bracket is 3" tall and has 3 mounting holes. Has the male and female ends, so it could be interlocked with another similar track to extend, if you so wish. Take her out of the box and she's ready for your antique restoration. This listing is for one meat hook roller with long(12" stainless steel meat hook. These are great display pieces for collectible tools or can easily be repurposed into barn door rollers or even for hanging interesting repurposed lighting. I got a bunch of them from a slaughter house in NY state. They all work well and carry a light coat of rust on the galvanized rollers. The stainless steel hooks are all in great shape. This is a pair of Richards Wilcox barn door hanger/rollers coming from a farm contents sale and recently repainted using gloss black rust paint. These hangers came off the same door but differ in total length by about 1/2" One steel strap was more pitted than the other. And one pin has been replaced. It is hard to notice the differences. The wheels are about 2 1/2" diameter by about 1 1/8" wide and turn easily, showing little of the side-to-side"slop" expected in hardware of this age. One wheel has a 1/2" chunk out of its collar which does not seem to affect its operation. See my photo to observe the inner roller bearings.
