2 Nice Barn Door Rollers in good condition have some rust and need to be cleaned up. These did come off a barn door in Ma ine. These are the Horseshoe Shape that were common on-100 year old barn doors. T hey measure 10' long x 6 1/2" wide. Great to restore a door or hang up for display.

Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. Vintage NATIONAL BIG 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers Farm Hardware (SET #1)
For your consideration is this pair of National Mfg. Co. Big 4" Horseshoe Barn Door Rollers" Each roller measures approximately 10 1/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide. I found no signs that these were ever installed(see photos. No tracks on rollers or imprints by bolts or barn door on horseshoe bracket) and believe they are new. They were found on a shelf in the barn of a farm estate sale(with the second pair I have listed) and no telling how long they have been in that barn. The roller and the hinge on both move freely and smoothly and I would rate these both in good condition. The box has been wet at some time and a mouse might have had a bite or two. The brackets do have some surface rust and the high spots do show shelf wear. The new owner will decide to refinish or just wipe off and use as-is with character marks and all. Offered is a pair of identical steel barn door rolling hangers. These are generally used to hang sliding doors on barns and sheds. They are capable of carrying large doors and. When properly mounted, are easily operated. These are never-used old stock hardware. They are unmarked so I cannot ID or date them. They likely date to the second half of the 20th century. Please observe that these hangers have wheels with convex surfaces, and are not slotted like some. Each hanger is about 8-1/2 inches tall and 7 inches wide across the wheels. The bolt part is about 4 by 5 inches. Each roller wheel is about 2-3/4 inches in diameter and about 5/16 inch thick at the outer convex rim. They are mounted on on about 4-1/2 inch centers. PA.The length of the rollers is 13 inches, the width of the mounting section to the barn door is 4 1/2 inches. The mounting hole size is 3/8 ths. of an inch. The stand alone weight of these rollers is 7 lbs. 7 ozs. There are residual signs of old paint on the rollers, I do believe the bottom half of the rollers were painted a beige color and the top half were painted black. Both track rollers spin freely. I would hazard a guess to say these barn door rollers are pushing 100 years old, if not older! 2 SETS OF ANTIQUE FARM BARN DOOR ROLLERS ((LOOK))
Up for auction we have 2 sets of barn door rollers. Though I do think these rollers were used on lighter individual stable doors. The roller brackets are not a match. On the one bracket the lips are both bent the same way and on the other bracket the lips are bent in opposite directions, the widths of the brackets are the same and the width is the same, but again the lips are different lengths, please look at the photo where I placed the rulers to point out this discrepancy. The roller wheels spin freely and the roller wheel brackets do pivot a short distance up and down. The outside dimension of the roller wheels is 9/16 ths The roller wheels measure 2 3/4inches in diameter. I must also point out that on the one roller, where the large bracket is bolted to the smaller 3 hole mounting bracket, the top nut is froze up! There are remains of ... moreblack paint on these rollers, for what ever reason the one roller has a lot of black paint still remaining. I do not see any manufacturers mark on the rollers.The combined weight of the rollers is 5 lbs.
