The 6" diameter cast iron wheels will roll on the standard 1/4" flat steel track. Each roller is 18" long. Wheels turn freely. There are no chips or cracks to the rollers or wheels. Sanded down to bare metal then painted the base the original color flat black. The wheels themselves have been sanded and left a cast iron color. Lightly oiled. 2 VINTAGE CAST IRON AP SLIDING BARN DOOR LATCH ~ GATE GARAGE SHED FARM LOCK TOOL
Offered are two identical cast iron sliding door latches. These are marked AP. I've seen identical latches marked"AP. ALLIGATOR. Perhaps they made these for applications where reptile references were unwelcome. These are a spring action latch and were used on many kinds of sliding doors and gates. Additionally they could be padlocked, and could be opened from either side of a wall with a handy pull chain. I'm not sure of the exact age of these, but they are positively old. The latches are about 7 inches long and 3-3/4 inches across in the latched position. They each weigh a bit over a pound. They are cast iron with steel springs and pins. The flat chain is copper. I can't see any signs of use or wear. But they may have been gently used. There are no cracks, breaks or bends anywhere. The springs are strong and the latch action ... moreis firm and positive. There are remnants of old black paint. I'm not sure these had much of a paint coat when new. There is minor corrosion, mainly on the backs. They are clean and perfectly operational. Antique Myers Cast Iron Track Roller / Barn Door Adjustable Sliding Pulley
Here we have a very nice Antique“Myers” Barn Door Roller. It measures approx 12” high by 7” wide and will work on a flat track. The whole unit is made of cast iron and was manufactured in the early 1900’s. The roller is embossed“Myers– Stayon– Adjustable– Ashland. O. U. S. A. The roller is in as-found condition. All parts are good with no cracks or breaks– the wheels still turn. The bolts that attach the brackets to the wood door are also present. This is a great roller for your door project or decoration. 1 VINTAGE IRON METAL SLIDING BARN DOOR ROLLER / HANGER ASSEMBLY “BIG 4”
You are bidding on 1(one) VINTAGE IRON METAL SLIDING BARN DOOR ROLLER/ HANGER ASSEMBLY. On one side there is a plate that is marked“BIG 4” and“PAT APR 24 1906 NATIONAL MFG CO STERLING. ILL” The overall length is approximately 10 1/4” and approximately 5 3/4” at the widest point. The free turning wheel measures approximately 3 1/4” in diameter. Approximately 5/8” wide and has a track groove approximately 1/4” wide. The U shape mounting bracket has 3 mounting holes with bolts and I’m not sure if the slight bend in the bracket was made that way. It weighs approximately 3 1/4 pounds. There is some surface rust and little pitting but overall appears to be in solid condition with no chips, breaks or cracks. I’ll leave the cleaning and restoration to the professionals. This is an authentic antique sliding barn door. At one time functioning in my barn. Built in 1900. It has age marks, chippy blue paint on the handle, rust on the tracks, although this doesn't effect the rolling, and a very old hole cut into the bottom. The track is straight. Dimensions-82 1/2" H x 48 3/4" W x 2" Thick. The track is-94" long. The rollers are 10" H x 9 1/4" W x 2" D. The hole is 4" W x 5" H and could be covered with a thin veneer wood or left as is or the height may too tall for your opening and it would be cut after that point. PICK UP ONLY-Central NY area.
