No 2 Antique Pair ALLITH PROUTY RELIABLE HANGERS BARN DOOR ROLLERS 1901 1903
Take a look at this vintage pair of ALLITH-PROUTY COMPANY RELIABLE HANGERS for the old style barn/shed sliding doors. These are heavy weight cast iron constructed. Patented NOV 19th. 1901 and DEC 8th, 1903. They were classified as No. 2 size. Made in Danville, Ill. All four rollers on these barn door hangers move freely. On one of the upper guide rollers, there is a crack in the cast iron. This won't affect the usability of the unit. I’ve shown the crack in picture#3. Thanks for looking at my auction! ~ 2 VINTAGE NATIONAL BARN DOOR ROLLERS / HANGERS ~ BIG 4 ~ ANTIQUE FARM HARDWARE
Offered are two. Never-used"Big 4" barn door rollers made by National Manufacturing of Sterling, Illinois. To be clear, these are not 100-year old antiques, and are likely of late 20th century manufacture. Each roller is about 10 inches long and 5-3/4 inches wide at the horseshoe-shaped part. The pulleys themselves are about 3-1/4 inch. These are pretty heavy-duty hangers and each weighs about 3-1/2 pounds. While the rollers were never used. They do have considerable paint loss and light corrosion in those areas. There is no damage or deformation anywhere in the metal. They are as perfectly functional as the day they were made. They'd be simple to spray paint whatever color you liked. I didn't touch them up in case this was the look someone wanted. I've posted lots of pictures so you can look them over. Antique 5'8" Cast Iron Hangers Barn Door Track Flat Steel Rusty Patina
This is an antique barn door track made of steel track and cast iron hangers with a very cool rusty patina. A 5' 8" piece it is one of the easiest to hang and protrudes from the wall 2" and the hangers are 13" or so on center. As you can see there is no hanger on the right side and never was. So it can be trimmed to any size under 5'8" you desire. Flat track it has rollers that roll on the top edge and you can use a number of different wheels! These are very unique in their design as compared to most that I've had over the years. They are exceptionally long from where the wheels ride the track down to where the brackets get mounted to the door itself. They are very decorative with the five hole pattern and the bordered lip or edging which totally follows around the mounting frame. All five holes are countersunk so that your mounting bolt or machine screw will draw up flush.NICE. There's not a mark. Chip, or repair to be found in either bracket. The Alric 4" diameter wheels rotate very freely. The wheel is 7/8" wide with the inside rounded portion at 1/2" wide. Top of the wheel to the bottom of the frame ... moreis 12-1/8" The wheel is 4" across. Well made with a 3/4" tapered front rib for added strength. About 2-1/2" thick at the wheel. These hefty, classic rollers have worn threads, but that doesn’t affect how effortlessly they glide along. They are 3” wide at the roller and 1.75” at the base. The openings for the screws are.5” They have a vintage. Rustic patina. Read the interesting bio of the roller’s manufacturer. They’re from the Stowell Manufacturing and Foundry Co. of South Milwaukee. It appears they were patented Sept. 5. 1899. Stowell. John Maxwell 1824- 1907“John Maxwell Stowell attended Alexander Classical Institute. And Marietta College, Ohio. Antique pair FE Myers Stay On Barn Door Rollers/ hangers with box silver paint
The images are actual photos of the Rollers. The Rollers are from the F.E. Myers& Bro Ashland O. and are painted silver with red lettering. They are marked with the number 1464 and STAYON OK. I would estimate 80 to 85 percent of the original paint still exists. There is some rust but and one of the hanger brackets has more than the other. It was on the top of the box. The rollers roll freely. The bolts to attach the brackets to the door are missing. The box looks to be original to the pair. There is some damage along the edges but very nice color and graphics. From a local estate. Here is a remarkably clean pair of National Mfg Co. Big 4" barn door rollers. These are nice and heavy, measuring about 10.5" top to bottom, anout 5.75" across the mount. Mount is shaped like a horshe- wheel swings out. Both pieces are in remarkably good condition for their age, paint looks original, these were apparently used but maybe for an interior application, not much rust and oxidation. Pair of Antique Vintage Cast Iron Barn Door Hardware Slider Rollers Hangers
Up for bids is a nice set of barn door roller hinges for track mounted doors. This set of hinges each have a set of rollers and door mount. They were removed from a barn in Ephrata. PA. The hinges measure approx 8.25" from the top of the mount to the bottom of the roller. The rollers measure approx 7.5" from the outside of the first roller to the outside of the second roller and are approximately 3/8" wide. Each roller spins freely and each rocker articulates freely as well. There are no cracks or breaks to these. They have great patina and rustic appearance due to the age related wear and minor rust and could be cleaned(i.e. sand blasting. Solvent, wire brush, etc) The size of the mount/track that these slide on is unknown. Please see my other listing for another identical set.

Near the Houston Ship Channel. I’m told that the warehouse was built in 1914. The outward-facing surfaces of the hangers are nicely contoured. I’ve cleaned them up by removing the large rivet that held the wheel in place. Removing the rusted needle bearings from the wheel, sandblasting the hanger and wheel, replacing the rivet with a 5/8” square-head bolt, and replacing the needle bearings with two oil impregnated, powdered metal, bronze bushings(one inside the other) The bushings fit loosely, and the wheel rolls smoothly. The nut has been tack welded to the bolt to ensure that it ... moredoes not back off. I sandblasted the hangers just enough to remove most of the rust. But not all of it. I didn’t want them to look like reproductions, and I wanted to retain the warm brown color. I have lightly sprayed them with oil to help prevent additional rusting. Pair of Antique Starline Cannonball Barn Door Hangers
This set of Starline. Cannonball barn door hangers is in rusty but useable condition. 3 of the wheels turn freely and 1 has a little stick to it which can be resolved by lubrication. The box indicates that it is a No. 384-D set. The hanger which has the star is stamped 384-D, but the other one no longer has a stamp. They are the same length though. According to the photo's on the box, I think this is all Cannonball parts. There are 2 end caps that appear to be un-used. The box is in fair condition with some water staining and paper loss(see the photos) I cleaned the box to remove the dirt and used document cleaning pad to further clean it. The hanger with the star cutout was welded to an old rusty pipe which I cut off. It will need some paint but is still in good shape. Thanks and good luck bidding! I do not ship internationally

hello. this auction is for an old vintage antique set of national big 4 barn rollers/ hangers. this set has never been used, but they do have paint wear from rattling around in the box. one of these also has a manufactures flaw, which is only cosmetic. the round makers emblem on one of them is not perfectly round, a small portion of it is sheared off. see 3rd picture) but like i said its just cosmetic.rollers seems to roll just fine and these come with their original hardware, 6 bolts and 6 nuts, also included is their original box which is very dirty and its not in very good shape, has wear and tear. these are in found condition and could use some cleaning. they measure about 10 1/4 inches tall and 5 3/4 inches wide, take a good look at the pictures and bid accordingly. and best of all-ITS FREE PRIORITY SHIPPING.
