Absolutely stunning and completely unique antique(Pre Victorian poss 17th century) wall or side cabinet. This highly unique and beautiful piece of history really has to be seen to be appreciated and it is solid chunky and heavy and measures approx. 27.5 inches in width with a depth of 10 inches and a height of 22.5 inches. This really is beautiful unique and highly intricate cabinet that is made to very high specifications. This item is at least a couple of hundred old but is still nice and strong and is without woodworm. I think it is made from walnut but I am not 100% sure. It has many age related scratches and marks and some damage to the protruding areas of the figure and a small missing piece on the base of the door(see pictures) although I do not feel that this detracts and like I mentioned previously the cabinet is still nice and strong. ... moreSomeone may like to give this a little TLC but I have used it exactly as it is as I genuinely feel that this adds character. Up for auction is this beautiful handmade Spice Cabinet newly constructed by myself of highly figured tiger maple. Based on traditional period examples in design and construction. It features mortise and tenon construction, a raised panel door, 2 adjustable shelves, solid tiger maple ship-lapped back panels, and top quality solid brass hardware. All of the wood was carefully selected, resawn and matched for consistent grain and figure throughout. Overall dimensions are 24" tall, 17 1/2" wide and 7" deep. The inside is 5 1/4" deep. It has great memories of various bits and bobs that I collected at that age.
