This is an old Antique Cast Iron Home Water Pump from DAVEY PUMP in Rockford Illinois. I found this in a shed at a 125 year old farmhouse. The granddaughter told me it was in their kitchen until they got city water and electricity in the 1940s. It was covered in crud so I gently cleaned off most of the grime. The original Red paint is still in great shape with no signs of corrosion. It just needs some more gentle cleaning to preserve the painted finish. Brass or Bronze Vases set of two 4 1/2 inch High made in Italy. They come out at base for easy access. These seem to dark to be brass ut they are Antique. But they ay also be Bronze. I am really not sure and I do not want to polish the patina off of these. There is a small oxidation circle on the bottom of one of the vases.

The thick rim measures almost 1" making the full top measurement 12" the top opening is 10" Height is 8" weight is 9 lbs, 4 ounces. There is a drainage hole so a potted plant can be dropped right in or a saucer can be used to catch water. The color is a dark terra cotta. The white showing on the outside is mineral deposits and it highlights the very pretty ornate design of leaves and small rectangles. Based on where this was purchased it is possible that this is hand thrown by a pottery expert at Greenfield Village and the Henry Ford Museum. It stands approx. 3 1/4” tall. The drip bowls are approx. 4 ½” in diameter. The brass taper candle holder bowls are approx. 7/8” in diameter. This piece is in good vintage condition with no broken components. There are some very minor natural wear surface blemishes here and there.
