The drawers lock into place and are lined, wood on the outside. The top drawer has a key lock(not included) When you pull out the drawer, there is a leaver that you turn which unlocks the other drawers. The wardrobe side includes the hangers shown(5) and the top opens to ease in getting the hangers out. the metal slats for the hangers to slide out as well, however the right one is hard to push. Has a fabric cloth to cover the clothes from the drawers. This is a large heavy truck, but in pretty good shape for it's age and the number of trips it has taken over the years. The top(picture 6) shows the rip in the fabric. Has two tags on it. First is the Hartman Trunk co, Racine, WI. The other is on the corner and says Wasseman's, Grand Rapids, MI. That means this trunk went from the United States to Germany, then to Scotland and back to the United States. Measures 40" tall, 22" wide and 21 1/2" deep. Shipping is quoted with UPS. This auction is for two Simply Adorable VINTAGE LOOK Wicker/ Rattan Nested Trunks. Selling these for a friend estate sale. Other baskets I have listed from this estate are from The Bombay Company but I see no markings on these two chests. It is two relatively large trunks with a flip latch closures. The only flaw I see is the wood is peeled off a bit on the inside lid of the smaller chest. They have a warm and vintage looking woven wicker with metal/brass accents. Vintage 1950's Mens Cotton Broadcloth Swim Trunks Mid Century Modern Print
This pair of vintage swim trunks isn't in perfect condition but it's such a hard to find item I'm listing them anyway. Plus the print is terrific. These are a cotton broadcloth that has a black background with a brown& orange 50's Moderne abstract print. The tag was cut out long ago. These have an elastic waist with drawstring and a white nylon unstained underpant lining. They measure 30" 38" around the waist; 40" around the hips; 14" from the top of the waistband to the bottom of the leg measured down the side seam. The FLAWS: the nylon underpants have lost the elastic stretch around the legs; there's a 2" long place in the back seam that came unstitched at one time& not repaired perfectly(see pics) the seam across the crotch needs restitching(the seams are double stitched and the first ... moreline of stitches are gone. This is actually a very easy fix) and lastly. In front the lowest line of topstitching on the waistband needs restitching for 2" This 2" area holds part of the inside pocket. The flaws are all fixable. I don't know what's going on with my camera, but the full length photos don't begin to show the color well. The close ups of the pattern are much more true to color. The are made of 100% wool in dark navy blue with white striping and original belt with chrome plated brass buckle There is no size stated on the label however they measure 12 wide at the waist(not extended) and 9.5" inseam to the high point of the leg. This fabulous pair of swin trunks appear to be in unused condition. This is just the type of bathing suit that Rock Hudson or Kirk Douglas would have worn back in the day. Vintage 50s/60s Cotton Barkcloth Hawaiian Swim Trunks M/L VLV
This is a cool pair of vintage men's swim trunks that are from the 1950's or early 60's. The print is a bluish gray. Black and ivory and has soldiers with shields on it. It is very subtle and somewhat abstract. The fabric is cotton and feels like Hawaiian barkcloth, however the print looks more like Roman soldiers. There is the remnant of an old tag in the waist, but it is hardly readable. I can barely make out"Large" on there. The fabric is in very good condition with no holes, stains or signs of heavy wear. Inside there is a cotton knit lining which is in very good shape without holes or stains. These do not have a fly or pocket on them. The waist is elastic and is in very good condition which is nice since that is usually what goes on these old trunks. There is no drawstring. Without stretching, the waist measures ... more27" and will stretch up to 42" The rise is 13" and the inseams are 3" They measure 14" long from the waist to the hem along the sides. These would be perfect for Viva Las Vegas or any retro pool or beach event!
