You see the condition, she definitely has character. The bare wood was once covered with a heavy type decorative paper, most of that is gone but you see some remnants of that in places. The original label was found in the trunk. It belonged to a gentleman in Escanaba Michigan. Maybe you can reincorporate the label back into a repurpose project(maybe lacqure it onto the top side? There is leather and metal construction incorporated into this little trunk. The leather handle is broken and the leather straps are gone with just some of their remnants being in place. The trunk is still 100% solid. This trunk will make a killer repurpose project, you just need to use your imagination, is it a small table, a small storage trunk for a big city loft apartment? It is a wood structure trunk and frame with smooth me tal(black) and woven pattern metal riveted overlays with beautiful beading to ta ck in metals and curved and straight gorg eousl y grained wood slat s. Here's what I stated about it s condition: Metal overlay surfaces have been repainted and restored. Some scratches and scuffs marks on beautifully grained wood slats. Leather handle missing on left side. Flip up side locking latches both flip up into locking position. But only one catches to keep it lock closed and the other is missing its catch. Center locking latching closes in position but does not lock and there is no key. Interior lining shows foxing and staining and has some t ares due to great age. But smells clean with nice scent like cedar inside. Truly a rare beauty of extra large size that has great looks and craftsmanship on evident in these earlier era pieces of exceptional beauty. These vintage 1960s men's trunks are new. In excellent condition and have never been worn. They have the original tag Mr. Walker Men's Swim Wear with a surfer on front, the back tells how to care for the suit. The suit is brown with yellow strips on both sides and waist band. A decorative button is in the middle of the band. Measurements are; waist: 28" side seam: 11" center seam: 10" Inside there is a cotton pocket and a cotton lining. The condition of the lining has age spots and can be washed out(see photo) The back band has a draw string and a tag that says 64% Acetate. 30% Cotton, 6% Rubber, size Small 28-30. This 1940s Brody vintage butterfly design is wonderful. The butterfly's are light grey/ yellow/brown on cream background. The material is nylon with satin finish. The condition is good. There is one hole in front(see photo) but no stains. A pocket with a button is in the front right side. Inside there is a cotton lining that has 2 very small holes and a hem on right side that needs sewing. The elastic in band is in good condition and there is a draw string in band. There are a couple tiny holes in the crotch area.and maybe another. All are small and i don't think they will run, get bigger. The elastic at the waist seems good. flat the waist is 15.5 inches and can stretch to 19.5 inches. They have an interior drawstring at the waist.
