The original label was found in the trunk. It belonged to a gentleman in Escanaba Michigan. Maybe you can reincorporate the label back into a repurpose project(maybe lacqure it onto the top side? There is leather and metal construction incorporated into this little trunk. The leather handle is broken and the leather straps are gone with just some of their remnants being in place. These shorts are in overall good used condition except that the waist elastic is stretched out and there is some minor fading from washing. Also there is a tiny spot at the back of the waistband and a tiny hole on the back right towards the top. These shorts measure 38 inches at the waist. The inseam is 2 inches and the outseam measures just under 13 inches. These shorts are made of 65% polyester and 35% cotton with what seems to be a 100% nylon brief lining. Vintage Men's swim trunks. Greys and dark blues. Made by Catalina'A California Creator' styled for the stars' They are Rare because they are large for this era. Labeled a size 42. READ MEASUREMENTS: Laying flat. The waist measures 31.5" with a stretch up to 39- 40" I'm being carful and not stretching them to the maximum they could be. The elastic is still good. Inseam measures 3" There are 2 tiny tiny little pin prick stains( on back of shorts. and the button is missing. I will include a few vintage buttons that I think looks right for the shorts.
